I noticed in the iO episode listings that an episode of The Cosby Show where a teacher of my old school, (old as of two days ago lol), was featured. I watched the whole episode through as he didn't know when he was on. He turned out to be on toward the end of the episode.

The episode was "Play it Again, Vanessa", and I must admit, although I was more or less watching because of my teacher, I also made it an attempt to like the show as well... and I did rather enjoy it. I guess I never DID give his shows a chance because no one else in my family likes it. I still won't be purchasing the DVD, I just have too much to get and limited dough to get them, but I think I'll be watching it a little more frequently.

So guys, I think you have a conversion.

Good thing I already erased my message on the 20 least likeable shows, because it saved me the trouble of doing it today.

what was the plot of the episode and where was your teacher in it? I plan to be getting seasons 1-6 when they come out.

Not because of that... the bashing used to be because it aired multiple times a day on N@N, plus TBS and WGN and countless locals. It's better now though.

I agree. It's been played out but it's still a good show.

I just find it shocking sometimes to see how fellow 80's fans will trash TCS. Like for example, I remember a hardcore Family Ties fan slamming Cosby as if he was the second coming of Satan or something. I just found it kinda strange to see that considering that it's well-known that Cosby was a hardcore boost to Family Ties' ratings (it went from out of the top 30 in 83-84 to top 5 the next season to #2 behind Cosby) and that both shows peaked when complementing each other (even though Cosby was able to survive without FT more than vice versa), it's almost like a Laverne And Shirley fan trashing Happy Days.

I agree... I'm tired of it but I still think it's a good show, I mean regardless of how many times it's played, the quality of it is not changing and it is a funny and well-done show

The Cosby Show is one of the greatest shows of all time. So you kinda of get why it's played so much because people still love it after all these years.

it was when vanessa don't want to appear in a concert but cliff makes her. he appears toward the end. cliff sees him leaving and makes him sit down to see cliff's daughter play. he also conducted the orchestra and did ALOT of the work in that particular episode. he was the band teacher at my school and is retiring this year. i never really worked with him except for the school concerts. he did band, another teacher i'm friendly with does strings and i was in vocal talent.
