Hey All,

I hope all is well... growing up I would watch soaps (spanish and english) with my mother. Now as an adult I'm a soap fanatic. Unfortunetly my work schdule conflicts with my soap time, so I Tivo all of them.
I recently started an internship at UMVD and I came across Amor Real, a spanish soap recently released on DVD.
I was surprised to find a soap on DVD, but what the hell, I took it home and I watched it. Let me tell you... it was great!
The drama, twisit and turns keep me on the edge of my couch the entire time.
I know some of you may be thinking, "spanish soap, never watched one and I can't understand it." Well now you can...it comes with english subtitles, an d why not try something a little different.
when you finsh watching Amor Real reply back and let me know what you thought, I would love to know.

Hi! I started watching a spanish soap this afternoon with my mom. And I actually enjoyed it! I used to never like soaps and I don't speak a word of spanish!! But now I'm hooked on the spanish network!! It's fun to try and guess what the story is!! :D

they can be really crazy with all the plots and everything. as a matter of fact, when i was real young i watched our family friend who was from Mexico watch a spanish soap on tv and it was so good. I got all into it. From there it led me to watch All My Children. This was way back in the days though. Back to Greg and Jennie.

Hi and welcome!

I do know of Spanish soaps, via my high school Spanish teacher, or as she would call them novellas. She would have the class watch at least once a week as part of our learning Spanish and talk about it. They are very intense.
Thanks for the post about the soap being in subtitles I may check it out.
