Everytime I bring up Charles In Charge to any of my friends, their friends, my fiance, they all have no idea what I am talking about. I am 25 and most of my friends are older, yet it seems I was the only one who knew of this show. Anyone else run into this scenario?

I'm not totally suprised that you've gotten this reaction, since CIC was a show that had a very small audiance. It was cancelled by CBS after only a single season and then it was brought back as a syndicated series, and syndicated shows generally have small audiances. What helped CIC strive so well in syndication was that syndicated stations don't require the type of ratings that a network would require.

I turn 25 in August and I have lots of memories of this show, I can't say when it used to air where I lived but I remember seeing it weekly at the least, Buddy Lembeck being one of my favorite characters.

Yeah, that is correct. Syndicated shows are not even shown in all markets across the United States, let alone other countries. CIC aired in most markets on WGN, which is a cable station, so if you didn't have cable you didn't have the show. I'm guessing (and this is only a guess, though an educated one in that I know how ratings are determined). During The Pembroke season on CBS, the series probably had about eight or nine million viewers (to get picked up for a new season, a show tends to have to be pulling in at least ten million viewers). The Powell seasons in syndication probably pulled in between 4 or 5 million viewers, which are great numbers for a syndicated show, but small compared to the 20+ million viewers who were watching The Cosby Show (the highest rated show of the late 1980's).

that definetly makes sense, because were my Fiance is from didn't even get cable till the late 90's (thats what happens I guess when you live in BFE), still gives her know right to call me crazy, LOL

Can someone help me??? Can't remember one specific episode or even if it was CIC, but I believe someone "burps" and the another says" I thought you said we were out of bologna?"....I know this sounds weird, but I have a bet....either CIC, Malcom in the Middle, or Married with Children?
