View Full Version : Summer Concerts
HuntingtonM15 06-29-2005, 12:15 PM Summer seems to be a big concert going time, so which ones are you seeing?
For me:
Pat Benatar - July 2
Loretta Lynn - July 23
Alan Jackson/Sara Evans - August 7
Ted Nugent - August 23 (not really my idea to go to this one)
Martina McBride - September 3
I'm hoping Martina adds another date, but if not, that's probably it for me this summer. I love going to concerts, but I hate dealing with getting the tickets. It can be so stressful.

The name Ted Nugent looks sort of out of place next to Loretta Lynn, Sara Evans and Martina McBride.
Karen* 06-30-2005, 12:44 AM August 20-American Idol :woohoo:
My first one since the Backstreet Boys in 1999.

 It really does. My uncle wanted to see him, so I'm just going along.
Faith 06-30-2005, 01:41 AM Well this wasn't exactly summer but on April 30th and May 1st, I went to the Coachella Music Festival and saw, Coldplay, Weezer, NIN, Thrice, Prodigy and Bauhaus. NIN was the awesomest concert ever( even though that isn't even a word).
The only one I really planned on was going to my living room and camping out last Friday morning to watch Jesse McCartney on the GMA Summer Concert series, but yeah I overslept and was stupid enough not to set the VCR timer...

That is very thoughtful of you. In 2000 I took my younger sister to see Britney Spears. She gave a 45 minute concert. Shortest (by far) that I have ever seen.
The Modfather 06-30-2005, 08:52 AM Xavier Rudd- July 12th
White Stripes- Sept. 16th
And a few more "unknown" bands playing in clubs in Toronto.
I also forgot- I'm seeing Loretta Lynn and Martha Wainwright July 12th (at night). So, it's going to be a busy day. The Xavier Rudd concert is at 3 and the Loretta Lynn concert is at 9.

That's awesome. I can't wait to see Loretta.

I don't mind seeing him so much. The venue is only a few miles from where I live, so it's not a long drive or anything. I remember Britney's 2000 tour. I think she did all of 10 songs.
