what was the title of a short-lived summer replacment show that aired on, I think CBS-in 1976 or 77 that was a sitcom about a large family in Russia that lived in an apartment? I remember the mother was a truck driver and 1 daughter sold real estate. It starred a character actor named Lou Jaccobi. I remember the show was pretty AWFUL!! Anyone remember it? I also remember that, even though it was set in Russia, noone spoke russian or even had an accent.

I think it was called "Ivan the terrible" or something.

I don't remember it but according to my TV Book right here the name of the show was Ivan The Terrible and it aired from August-September 1976.

I remember very little about it, but I think I watched every one (or nearly) of the few episodes that aired. I specifically remember being drawn to it because Maria Karnilova of broadway's Fiddler On The Roof was in the cast.

And I was 12.

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign ... :happyface

I looked this show up on IMDB.com and found a couple of familiar names in the cast list. Nana Visitor (Kira Nerys on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) played Svetlana Petrovsky and Chritopher Hewett (Mr. Belvedere) played Federov.
