TV Land Scores Most-Watched Second Quarter Ever
Nick at Nite Most-Watched Adult Cable Net Among Total Viewers

New York, NY, June 28, 2005 - TV Land scored its most-watched second quarter ever among its target demo of Adults 25-54 and with total viewers in the history of the network for second quarter 2005, according to findings from Nielsen Media Research (3/28-6/26/05). The network was bolstered by the success of its regularly scheduled programming of classics Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Sanford & Son and Three's Company, a 50th Anniversary salute to Lassie and "Bewitched Week on TV Land." On Nick at Nite, the network scored double digit gains among total viewers for 2Q'05, ranking as the most-watched adult cable net.

Overall, TV Land posted, in total programming day, a 0.3/287,000 among A25-54, a +13% gain in delivery over the same time period last year. Among P2+, the network attracted an average of 549,000 total viewers, an increase of +12% over 2004. In prime time, the network marked a 0.4/362,000 among A25-54, up +5% in delivery. Total viewers in primetime reached 861,000, an increase of +17% over last year.

The network's success can also be attributed to two programming events. On April 24, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET/PT, America's most beloved pet, Lassie, returned to the small screen as TV Land celebrated the 50th anniversary of Lassie with a marathon of memorable episodes. The event scored a 0.4/433,000 among A25-54, a +33% gain in ratings and a +67% lift in delivery over the same time period last year. The network drew an average of 813,000 total viewers, a rise of +58% over last year. Additionally, on the heels of TV Land's Bewitched Landmark unveiled on June 16, from June 20-23 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., TV Land aired "Bewitched Week on TV Land," to impressive numbers. The marathon , which featured interviews with the film's stars, Nicole Kidman and Wil Ferrell, as well as Shirley MacLaine posted a 0.5/472,000 with A25-54, a +25% rise in ratings and a +35% gain in delivery over the same time period last year. The stunt drew over 1 million total viewers, up +60% versus last year.

On Nick at Nite for 2Q'05, the network drew over 1.5 million total viewers in total programming day, up +12% over last year. With the success of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Fatherhood, Full House and The Cosby Show, the network ranked as the number one adult cable net among total viewers in total programming day.

I'm pretty surprised that "Lassie" did that well.... I wonder if TVL will acquire it, and I'm so happy "Bewitched" week did so well, hopefully it'll help "Bewitched" stay in its weekday slot when it goes back there in July
