in the past month, Tom has committed career suicide like no celebrity has done since "Living With Michael Jackson". Considering his new movie, "War Of The Worlds" is coming out this week, will people go to see it or has the "Tom magic" been lost considering all of the fans he has turned off over such things as attacking Brooke Shields, jumping on Oprah's couch like he's on speed, talking down to Matt Lauer, making his girlfriend join his cult, etc...

Tom Cruise talks to Martin Scorcese.
Tom: Man, Martin, I really respect your work, and I've done the research, I really read about things, I look up everything, you know, because I have to be well informed. But this movie, I mean, it looks good on paper, but I can't work with Meryl Streep because she is like, ah, condoning medication. Yeah, I mean she's saying that women with menstrual pain need drugs. We both know that is not the case..hahhahaha. And besides that, she once implied a guy who had cancer needed a bone marrow transpant. What kinda gobbley gook is that. I've read about bone marrow, and that is a load as big as psychiatry, I mean the next thing you know people are going to have organs transplanted from other people, that's just freaking sick. I mean Marty, really, what the hell were we talking about anyway. And, no I'm not gay, I swear.

I'm very curious myself as to how War of the Worlds will do at the box office. I have to admit that Tom is even starting to get on my nerves, and I've always considered him the greatest actor of his generation, but I still plan to see War of the Worlds. I hope this film pulls Spielberg out of the creative rut he's been in over the past couple of years. If Spielberg has made a good movie with War of the Worlds, I will be very happy. :)
