I have had some people want to do a trade with me that i have never heard of before and when I tell them i need to do a trader check on sitcoms online and if all is well then we can trade asap, but if noone has ever heard of u then we need to go slow at first and some of these traders get so insulted they call off the deal here and now, and then im wondering if they are hiding something because of the way they react to my way of doing buisness, everyone who is on the level wants to be careful and i as well as all the good traders want the deal to go smooth and atleast be fair, so if you are someone who is going to be insulted by my way which is the same way of other traders doing a trade please do not even ask to trade with me because I am so tired of the childish behavior from these traders that it would be better if they didnt even offer up a trade.

If they contact you and initiate a trade that you are willing to make, just ask them to send first. Tell them once you receive it you will mail out their end of the trade.
When dealing with new folks, " he who initiates trade, sends first" these are the "RULES" most of us play by.
If they don't go for this, that's it. End of discussion. Trade is off.
Why are you beating yourself up over this? Move on, you probably have other deals lined up anyway.

Dutchman,
I rarely ever post trader checks because I follow the above rule, when dealing with newbies or old timers. If you follow this, trader checks are often unnecessary. The downside of this is that it's easier to actually deal with a bad trader this way, because you haven't done a trader check. But as long as they're sending first, you're not risking anything.
I personally think that "sending at the same time" is a very bad motto to follow, unless you're dealing with someone who has a decent reputation in trading circles.

Oh, I must have misunderstood your post. :D I thought you were referring to the people approaching you. In that case, you could apply the rule "he who initiates trade sends first". If you're approaching them, I'd be nervous, too.
