In the first scene, Jack, Janet and Terri are sitting on the couch watching a movie. Janet and Terri are crying and Jack has tears in his eyes, but he is trying to hide it.

Janet: *turns off the movie and wipes her eyes* No matter how many times I watch "Terms of Endearment" it always makes me cry. What did you think Jack? *notices his tears* Oh Jack! You cried too!

Larry Dallas trudges up the stairs, after a long day at work. Even though he's dog tired, he decides to stop off and visit Jack and the girls. He could sure use some cheering up.

Larry: *thinking to himself* I sure hope business pick up

Janet: *turns off the movie and wipes her eyes* No matter how many times I watch "Terms of Endearment" it always makes me cry. What did you think Jack? *notices his tears* Oh Jack! You cried too!

Terri: *wipes her eyes* I don't know how anyone can help it during this movie.

Larry rings the trio's doorbell and decides to put on an act, so they won't see his depression. Jack gets up and answers the door.

He starts heading for the door.

Janet: Hold it right there buster! *she says playfully. She motions toward the couch* Sit! Stay!

Larry goes back and sits down.

Larry: Okay, I'm sitting.

Janet: Terri, Jack, Kitchen! On the double!

Janet: Oh Larry! You can't move! *Suddenly, she gets an idea* Jack, Terri, could I see you both in the kitchen please? Excuse us, Larry.

Janet: I know that Larry can be a real pain sometimes, but we can't let him move away! I was thinking, maybe he could live here for a while. Terri, you and I will have to be careful, but he could stay with Jack in his room and soon he'll probably find another job and be able to help pay the rent. What do you guys think?

Larry's now stretched out on the couch, watching Steel Magnolias. It's starting to get to him and his eyes are tearing up. He looks at his watch and realizes he's probably keeping everyone awake.

Larry: *calls out to the kitchen* Look you guys, I need to go back to my place. I'm not moving for a couple days so don't worry, I won't leave without saying goodbye. *He walks out the door*

Terri: Janet, I know I said I liked Larry a little and I guess I'll miss him A LITTLE, but that's when he was still living upstairs. Don't you think that's taking it a bit too far. Zack:Well I was in a match where I teamed with Batista against HHH and Ric Flair and after I pinned Flair,Hunter came out of nowhere and nailed me in the back with a sledgehammer.That dude's got bad temper especially when he's not World Heavyweight Champion.Anyway,the doctor came in and took a look at it and told me I couldn't wrestle anymore.Then Terri did something to make me feel better

See you in a bit! *hangs up the phone* Umm...Jack, Terri, there are 6 people living here now. *she watches them count and look at each other, since they're both coming up with 5 and not 6* My best friend Kate from Indiana is moving in too, she'll be here in a few minutes. *she hides her face, hoping her friends won't be angry with her*

Larry knocks on the door to 201, he's struggling with all his suitcases.

Jack opens the door.

Larry: Hey buddy, this is all i'm moving in with me. The rest is in storage.

Janet: Well, we all know that Terri's ok with it! :lol: *elbows Terri playfully* I think it will be fine, but Jack do you think there will be enough room in your bedroom with you, Zack & Larry?

Later on, Larry comes back home. Everyone else is out.

Twenty minutes later, Kate walks in the door. She locks the door behind her and walks into the girls bedroom to get undressed for a shower. She puts on her robe, grabs her favorite bodywash and heads to the bathroom.

Kate: Great, nobody's home, I can enjoy a nice warm shower.

She opens the door to reveal Larry who's just getting out of the shower.

Larry: WHOA!!! :eek: Dont' you ever knock!

Kate: Sorry Larry, hmm...not bad though.

(Jack comes in)

Jack: Did anything happen while I was gone

Kate: Not much, I made some Ice tea and Oh yeah, I saw Larry naked.

They walk out into the livingroom and Jack can't even look at them

Kate is now dressed nicely and arrives at the Arcadia Flower Shop, where Janet works, ready for her interview. Janet greets her and introduces her to the district manager who takes Kate in back for the interview. Half an hour later Kate comes out to the front.

Ok, let's see, Kate was born in Speedway, Indiana like me. We went to Speedway High together. She was Prom Queen and Homecoming Queen in high school. She went to college at Harvard to study law like her father. She has an older brother named Rick. She and her father were always very close until he passed away last month. Kate was heart broken. Larry gets comfortable on the couch, he sits facing her.

Kate: That's funny, I was just about to say the same thing to you. I can't stop thinking of you and when I do, I feel like I have a million butterflies in my stomach. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you too Larry.

They lean in to a kiss so deep, so passionate, it curled their toes. They released from the kiss for some badly needed air. She cuddled up against him and fell asleep. He picked her up and carried her to into the girls room. He placed her on the bed she shared with Janet and quietly stepped out of the room. They needed to take things slowly.

Kate helps Janet with her robe and then throws on a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans over her nightgown. Jack and Larry get dressed in a hurry.

Kate and Jack are panicking, running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Larry: JACK AND KATE! SHUT UP AND CALM DOWN! Kate you help Janet get her robe on, I'll call 911!

Kate: No! That'll take too long.

Larry: Let's throw on some clothes. We'll take her to the hospital ourselves.

Janet:Oh God! *she screams out in pain and falls to her knees* I can't walk! Someone's going to have to carry me! *she's sobbing now, like a helpless little girl, afraid of what's going to happen to her. The look on her face breaks her friend's hearts*

Kate takes Larry into the guys room.

Kate: What are we gonna do, I can't bear to see her like that.

Larry: *holding her arms* Listen to me, alright? I know you're scared, so am I, but, we have to stay calm for her. Jack is freaking out and he's really no help at all. So it's up to us, I don't even know where Terri and Zack are.

Kate: They're still on their date. Oh man, what is the name of that restaurant...something steakhouse. *trying to stay calm* I gotta get back
to Janet.

Larry: Look, here's my keys, you go down and try and get it started and warmed up, while I deal with Jack. I'll have to carry Janet down to the car myself.

Kate runs into hers, Janet and Terri's room.

Kate: Janet listen to me okay? I'm going to try and start Larry's car and get it warmed up. We're taking you to the hospital.

Kate takes Larry into the guys room.

Kate: What are we gonna do, I can't bear to see her like that.

Janet: *she tries to be brave* Alright Kate, just hurry! Why don't you take Jack down with you? He's too upset to see me like this. Just ask Larry if he doesn't mind carrying me down to the car. *she takes a deep breath, trying to remain calm. She looks at Jack, who is terrified and shakes her head sympathetically*

Kate: Okay, don't worry Janet, C'mon Jack, she'll be alright.

She and Jack run down to Larry's car, leaving Larry with Janet.

Larry runs into the girls' room and kneels down by Janet.

Larry: Okay Princess, I'm gonna pick you up now okay, you just hold on tight, i'm gonna carry you down to my car and we'll take you to Wilshire, alright?

Kate: Okay, don't worry Janet, C'mon Jack, she'll be alright.

She and Jack run down to Larry's car, leaving Larry with Janet.

He carefully picked her up and carried her down the stairs and over to his car. He placed her on the backseat with Jack so he could keep her calm.
Kate sat up front with Larry.

Kate: It took three tries to get it started Larry.

Larry: Yeah, I know, this car is really a piece of crap.

Terri: (whispers) I saw Kate and Larry in bed together. (points to the room)
Zack:Are you sure your eyes weren't playing tricks on you?

Larry parks the car, he and Kate walk into the hospital and sit in the waiting area.

Kate: What's gonna happen to her? I'm scared Larry.

Larry: I don't know honey, i'm scared too. *puts his arm around her*

Kate: *yawns* Oh man, I'm gonna get some coffee.

Larry: Why don't you just close your eyes for awhile. If there's any news on Janet, i'll wake you, okay?

Kate: Yeah, okay. *rests her head on his lap*

Zack:Oh my God Terri.I can't believe something happened to Janet.I don't even know what happened

Terri: What? Me neither. I hope she's ok.

Larry watched his girlfriend sleep, when Terri and Zack popped into his mind.
"Damn! I forgot to call them." he thought to himself. He went to find a payphone and quickly dialed. Terri picked up.

Larry: Hi, Terri or Zack, whoever this is, I'm at Wilshire memorial. Janet's
here, she can't move her legs and she's in pain. Get down here fast. bye.

He hung up and sat back down, next to Kate.

Terri slowly dropped the phone and turned to Zack with a worried look.

Terri: (whispers) oh my god

Zack:As much as I wanna go out on a date with you,we better go to the hospital and go on a date some other time

Larry woke up when Terri and Zack arrived.

Larry: Where were you two?

Zack:What does that matter?We're here now

Terri: (Panicking) Where's Janet? How is she? Is anyone with her? Is she going to be ok? What did the doctor say? Did he see her yet?

Larry: I was just asking. *turns to Terri* Janet is in one of the cubicles being examined, Jack is with her. She woke up screaming about how she couldn't move her legs and she was in pain. This is really frightening Terri. It just happened all of a sudden. :( I had to carry her out to the car, Jack was too freaked out.

Kate: *wakes up* Oh god Terri *cries and hugs Terri*

Zack:What was she doing before she started screaming?

Kate: She was sleeping. That was after Larry made me get in my own bed.
*:rolleyes: at Larry*

Larry: Because you kept pushing me out of mine, silly.

Zack:OK,so she was sleeping when it happened while you two were in bed together.What did she say when she woke up

Kate: No, Larry and I were sleeping together before it happened.

Larry: I made everyone sleep in their own beds, they did and that's when Janet screamed.

Kate: She said Oh my god, I can't move my legs.

Larry: I think i'll try to find out what's going on.

Kate: I'll go with you, I need to find the ladies room and a coffee machine.

They get up and walk towards the emergency room, holding hands.

Zack:Huh.This may be a possibility,but it could be a possiblity that it could be a shock from a dream she had since she was sleeping when it happened

Kate: No, Larry and I were sleeping together before it happened.

Larry: I made everyone sleep in their own beds, they did and that's when Janet screamed.

Larry: I think i'll try to find out what's going on.

They get up and walk towards the emergency room, holding hands.

*Janet is sleeping as the doctor comes out with Jack to the waiting room to talk to her friends.*

Dr. Anderson: Hello everyone. Zack, Terri, nice to see you. I'm afraid Janet has suffered a stroke. Now, she's going to be alright, but she has lost all control of her body from her neck down. Her feeling may come back, but it may not. There's no way to know for sure. She's going to need around the clock care. She'll have to be fed, bathed and cleaned up after. *looks at them seriously* I've know Janet for a few years now, her father & I are good friends, so I know about her need to be independent and her firey Italian temper. This is going to be hard for her. Don't let it get to you if she says hurtful things to you because she's going through a lot right now, and she doesn't really mean to hurt anyone. She'll need to stay here in the hospital for a few more days, then she can go home. She's resting now, but you can see her if you like. *walks off to check on other patients*

Larry: :eek: Oh my god.

Kate: :eek: A stroke? She's so young. How is that possible. *holds on to Larry*

Larry: You wanna go see her?

Kate: Yeah, but, let's let Jack, Terri and Zack go first.

Jack:Hi Janet honey

Zack:How are you feeling?

Larry and Kate are waiting for their turn to see Janet and they start up a conversation.

Larry: Kate, I was thinking, once we get Janet home, would you like to go out on an official date?

Kate: You mean with you?

Larry: No, Mr. Furley :rolleyes: Of course with me, silly. :lol:

Kate: Oh thank god, I mean I like Mr. Furley, but...Of course, i'd love to go out on a date with you, officially.

Larry: Great. I'll make it really special and incredibly romantic. *kisses her*

They're deeply involved in a kiss when, Jack and Zack come out.

Jack:I can't believe she yelled at me like that.One thing I do believe is that this is my fault

Zack:Jack to quote that jerk Gene Snitsky,it wasn't your fault

Jack:Yes it is.This never happened until I told I loved her

Zack:Stop blaming yourself.It isn't gonna make it any better

Kate: Jack, she had a stroke and they don't happen because you tell somebody you love them.

Larry: That's right buddy, if that were true. It would've happened to all of us and everybody else in the world. So stop blaming yourself alright? Zack's right. It doesn't make it any better.

Kate: We should probably go see her Lar, before we go home.

Larry: Okay, let's go hon.

Jack:Thanks Lar

Larry and Kate approach Janet's bedside.

Larry: Hey Princess, is there anything we can do for you?

Kate: Yeah you name it. *she wipes Janet's tears away*

Zack:Terri,I hope that Jack,Larry & Kate will also take care of Janet.Otherwise we'll never have time to go on a date and the only time we'll spend together is helping Janet.I know that sounds selfish which isn't like me.I really wanna get to know you Terri and I care about the rest of our friends too

Terri: Yeah, but I can't help to think that all this happened for a reason and we weren't supposed to go on a date. Like it was a sign or something.

Zack:There are signs that are reasons why we're at this point.Who would've thought that you'd give me a physical,take me out to lunch to cheer me up after my career was over and we'd meet again?Aren't those signs that are reason that we should get to know each other?

Terri: Yeah, you're right. Sorry I was so negative, it's just that I'm really worried about Janet and I'm not thinking clearly.

Larry: You could never be a burden to anyone. I can't speak for Zack and Terri, but, don't worry about Kate and I being able to find time to be alone together okay. We'll have plenty of chances for that.

Terri and Zack go into Janet's room

Terri: Hey Janet, you don't have to worry about Me and Zack. It's not your fault. We can just go do something some other day. No big deal. You're much more important to me. I can go on a date anytime, but I only have one friend like you.

Janet:You guys are the greatest! *she smiles* The doctor says I can go home now since I'm doing better. I'm ready to get out of this place! *she giggles* I guess someone will have to help get into my new chair. *she motions with her eyes to her electric wheelchair next to the door*

Larry: I'll go make room in the trunk for the wheelchair and bring the car
around.

Kate: Okay, I'll be out there in a minute to help. I'm gonna sign the discharge papers and help Janet get changed, alright my kitten.

Larry: Sure, Bunny. *they kiss*

Janet and Terri can't help but giggle.

She and Terri grab Janet's stuff while Jack helps her get comfortable in her wheelchair. Jack carries Janet into Larry's car and Zack puts the wheelchair in the trunk. He and Terri follow in Zack's low rider.

Jack:If they have a kid,they'll mickname him or her puppy :lol:


Kate: :lol: Hey, that's cute. Puppy Dallas. I kinda like that.

Larry: Please Jack, don't give her any more ideas.

They arrive back home

Janet: Thank God we're home! *she sighs in relief and waits for someone to carry her upstairs to their apartment*

Kate: You mean, you didn't enjoy their wonderful food? ;)

Larry: Yugh! You're kidding right.

*He lifts Janet out of the car and hands her to Jack, who carries her up
to the apartment. Kate and Larry carry up the wheelchair.

*Jack sits her down on the couch to wait for Kate and Larry. Once they bring the chair over to him, he picks her up and gently sits her down in it*

Janet: *she looks over her chair carefully* Well, I guess I'd better learn how to use this thing. *she tilts her head to the right so that she can press the button to move the chair. She figures out how to move herself forward and runs over Larry's foot, causing him to yell out in pain* Oh God Larry! I'm so sorry! *she apologizes* I'll never figure this out! *she yells in frustration as tears fall down her cheeks*

Kate: *puts her hand on Janet's shoulder* Yeah, you will, it just takes practice. Besides, Larry's a tough old guy. I've dropped the chair on that same foot as we were carrying it up here. *gets dirty look from him*

Larry: *turns back to Janet* Yeah, you can't expect to learn this in one day, it takes time. *pats her hand*

Zack:Yeah,now lets get you back in the wheelchair(puts her back in)

Terri: Do you need anything Janet?
