Which Maggie did you like better? I know her and Sam weren't the most popular characters on the show, but if you had to choose, which one did you prefer and why?

Well, Dixie Carter was more seasoned as an actress and pretty and fiesty. MaryAnne was very nice and beautiful but her acting had much to be desired but she had her moments. I thought she fit in well with the family and loved her in "Sam's Missing". I can't decide. I did talk to Shavar Ross "Dudley" about 4 years back and he told me that Dixie ws fired by Gary indirectly. He was not happy with her.

I didn't especially like Dixie Carter, I would choose Mary Ann Mobley- her acting wasn't exactly great but I preferred her.

I think Dixie Carter played the better Maggie.

I didn't like the character but Dixie gave her more personality, Mary Ann Mobley was rather stiff IMO

I think Mary Ann Mosley was the teacher who drummond fell for in season 2. She played Arnold's teacher

yep, too bad the writers didn't do a tongue-in-cheek mention in season 8 when the actresses changed where Mr. D would go "you know, you remind me of a teacher Arnold had several years ago", lol.

I knew she looked familiar when I watched the episode-"Teacher's Pet"
