Go vote in the Sony poll running right now. They could very easily back out of releasing Spoons if everything else gets better voting and right now we're being sent to slaughter so to speak.

Right now we're at #3, which is up from last week. Sony better not decide to not release Silver Spoons, I can't wait for it to come out.

I don't think it will hurt DVD chances at all ;) We were talking about this on the TVDVD board here on SO and Pavanbadal said that poll is BS that most of those series were in the works anyways ;)

If it wasn't on the list they wouldn't be seriously considering it, so we will get it, it's a question of when.

One small detail... I'm the person who has done the negotiating with Sony for the release for the past two years and am also the one who would be supplying part of the cast to do commentary as well as most of the extras. If anyone is the "person who would know" in this case, it would be me.

Judith I tip my hat to you and give you my appreciation for working so hard to get this on DVD. I've been waiting a long time to see this show and will be one of the first to pre-order it when it becomes available. Thanks again for your work and hopefully Sony will realize the shows their fans want to see should be released on DVD as soon as possible.

Sorry didn't mean to take anything away from you. I just meant Pav knows about things like this cause he gets inside news about DVDs and tv shows :)

Thanks. I've got a vested interest in this release. Since I do the PR for Joel Higgins and Erin Gray plus can get Alfonso, Corky, one of the Executive Producers and a head writer for the commentaries, those will be good. Plus it turns out that I have more stuff from the series than Sony does so they're going to have to borrow quite a few items from me as well. I've already offered to write the liner notes for the box sets too. Keep voting everybody and I'll do my best to keep it on track!

I'm with Pav, I think this Sony DVD poll is BS.

The voting seems a bit sketchy... Silver Spoons had almost 30% for about a week, then I go to check it now and Johnny Cash show has almost 50% of the votes and Silver Spoons and all other front runners have dropped tremendously. You can vote over and over if you delete the cookies so I'm guessing that's what people are doing to bump their show.

Anyway, my point is that if Sony is really going to use this poll as a guideline they're not too bright.

The poll results changed DRAMATICALLY over the course of about 2 days...it seems that the poll had been hacked or tampered with. I don't know how Sony could take this thing seriously...I voted for Silver Spoons on like 4 different days, so I know you can vote multiple times. (which I don't like) I'm guessing a Johnny Cash fan hacked into the poll to give his show the majority of the votes, or they told an online JC community about the poll, and they all went and voted. Either way, its not fair if true...

Sony should pay more attention to TVShowsOnDVD.com, as I personally believe that site carries more gravitas and accuracy in regards to what the general public wants than their fishy TV-DVD polls...

Silver Spoons is firmly in third place here, and Designing Women has already been announced for season DVD releases, so really, we're in second place. I really wish Sony would pay more attention to that site. Judith, you should show these TVShowsOnDVD.com numbers to Sony. I mean, Facts of Life and Silver Spoons should be released without hesitation...

I can't believe that Silver Spoons is still not yet released on DVD. Why is Sony taking so long to release it? Over 2000 people have signed the Silver Spoons petition and still nothing mentioned when or if Silver Spoons will be released on DVD. Why is it taking so long to get Silver Spoons released on DVD? All of us fans have been waiting for how long now for Silver Spoons to get released on DVD?
