...something or someone very improbably winds up on the island. It looks like the castaways are finally going to get rescued if the Professor can pull off one or two tricky manoevres. Gilligan says something stupid and the Skipper hits him with his hat. When it comes time to do whatever the plan is, Gilligan messes it up and they have to stay on the island.

When you're on a good thing, stick to it. The basic premise has made it one of the most memorable shows in TV history and one of my all time favourites.

It's obviously one of my favorites too or I wouldn't be posting to this board.

Here's how to play the game: The first person says "remember that episode of Gilligan where gilligan messed things up and they had to stay on the island"

Then the next person picks another show and perhaps says "remember that episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy wanted to perform at Ricky's club and he said no and so she hatched a hairbrained scheme to do it anyway and caused a lot of trouble."

Then the third person might say "remember that Gilligan's Island Message Board where people take things soooooooo seriously?" :D :cool:

Oh! :D I just wondered since a lot of people who come here are from other places besides the US, like Canada, Japan, The U.K., Germany, and now Australia.

A game where you give a plotline that could be any episode of the show? That doesn't sound like fun to me, but then I usually have trouble understanding where MadScientist is coming from.

When I saw "The Producer" this weekend during N@N's 20th anniversary it really made me anxious to get season 3 on DVD. Come on, July 26th! I'm like a kid at Christmas here! LOL

I know where you're coming from. I didn't think I'd have the same feelings of anguish I had waiting for season 2's release. You know, the old been there once so it won't be as bad situation. But it ain't working out that way. I can't wait yet again. And it's not even July yet. :crying:
