Does anyone here know why L&S was cancelled when it was in May 1983?

ABC was afraid that the ratings would be very bad, because of Cindy Williams leaving, so they planned that this was the last season, Here Today, Gone Tomorrow would be the series finale. It turned out that alot of people watched L&S, because they wanted to see the change without Shirley, but about half-way through the season when the ratings were getting really high, they dropped drastically. The final rating was #25.

callmetootie, don't you mean 35 or 45? Because I really don't think any network when it's starting to sink would cancell a show at #25.

Nevermind, it was #25.

Also, the Penny Marshall and the guy that played Squiggy didn't want to do the show anymore. But ABC would prob. have renewed it though
