Um, so... Hi, everybody! Okay, so I'm new here, obviously. I'm not terribly familiar with the whole message board thing in general, and after reading a bunch of messages, feel like a bit of a Moonlighting novice as well. Okay, so here goes.
I used to watch this show on AFN (Armed Forces Network) when I was little (like 8 or 9) in Berlin, Germany (I'm American, though). My mother loved it, I loved it, and I have since held many other he said/she said, should they/shouldn't they type shows up to it for comparison. Lois & Clark, Friends (Ross & Rachel), X-Files, etc. To my knowledge, none have lived up to the fabulous writing and chemistry of Moonlighting.
So you can't imagine how (well, since you're all here, I bet you can. Heh.) excited I was to hear that this show was out on DVD. I went out the first week to buy the set and it was sold out at two Targets and three Best Buys I checked, and had to wait a week to get them. But now that I have them, my addictive personality when it comes to television, reflected in my faster-than-light devouring of The Sopranos (four seasons in 3 weeks) and 24 (it took a week to catch up to the third season), coupled with an unhealthy amount of free time, has prompted me to come here.
Where's she going, you ask? Namely here: I am one episode away from finishing this DVD collection, and my addiction has only gotten stronger. I NEED to see the rest of this series. I've read about the infamous Sam vs. David mini-arc, the pregnancy that separated the stars for, what, all of 4th season?... that inafmous "Big Bang" scene (which I saw courtesy the awesome and addictive davidandmaddie.com), etc. But I just NEED TO SEE IT, y'know? The whole arc, where these characters go. Now, I know there is some in-the-future time when the rest will be out on DVD, but for now, all I have is the hope of one day being able to get one episode off the slow-as-molases eMule P2P program.
And so, with that, I impolore - nay, beg - any kind souls out there who would be willing to sell me the final three seasons on VHS or DVD. Quality isn't that important, as long as I can see the picture and hear the dialogue. I'm willing to pay (duh) for any tape/dvd, postage, and dubbing costs, along with a little extra if need be. It's supposed to take me 9 days at the current rate (I know!) to download just, "I am curious...Maddie" and if there was a way to get the rest of the series by then, I'd be one happy clam.
So, all that being said, and I am SO SORRY if I'm breaking any rules here, if there is anyone who would be willing to do this for me, please email me at adieangel@yahoo.com.
Thank you!
