October 25th is the release date for this 4-DVD set, which runs 720 minutes and costs $39.98 SRP. We're expected a nice list of bonus material to be included with this release, but those extras haven't been announced just yet.

I enjoyed the first season DVDs, thought the episodes were pleasant viewing. But I'm thoroughly enjoying the second season. I think Doris Day's instincts about the need for a format change were on target. The second season format is way more suited to her type of comedy. And I must say, I've only watched a handful so far, but there have already been a number of laugh-out-loud moments, which I didn't find with the first season shows. This is the Doris Day everybody loves. I hope MPI doesn't delay too long with the release of the third season because I'm sure I'll be finished with the second season DVDs in a flash, I'm enjoying them so much.

I liked the first season. I didn't laugh too much, but I found it to be a nice pleasant show. Denver Pyle was great. James Hampton was great, too. However, I find the second season more entertaining and funny. McLean Stevenson was a GREAT addition. I've always liked McLean Stevenson. Up until now, I'd only seen him in "M*A*S*H" and an episode of "Diff'rent Strokes". So it was great seeing him play another character.

I'm gonna miss him when season four comes out. Because EVERYONE except for Doris Day is gone between seasons 3 and 4.
