The show was great! I went with my father and sister and we were all laughing like crazy. My cheeks were killing me from laughing so hard. The entire audience seemed to absolutely love him. He did a lot of new stuff and some classic stuff from the show and Don't Sweat The Small Stuff. I wish it could have lasted longer.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to meet him after the show and I somehow accidently deleted my MP3 recording of the whole show so I'll have to rely entirely on memory. I'll post some pictures if you guys would like although I'm sure a lot of you, being devoted fans, are seeing it or have seen him yourself.

Anyway, I think I'll go check out some show dvd's since I just bought Season 1. If you guys saw Kevin recently, share what you thought. I haven't been on this board long but I love it. Goodnight for now.

I had the pleasure of seeing Kevin James performing stand up for the very first time on Saturday, 6/11/05, at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL. The special guest that night was Richie Minervini. Richie was very funny. I must say it was a great experience seeing Kevin in person after having watched so many King of Queens episodes. Orlando showed much love for him. We gave him a standing ovation as he came on to the stage and also when he finished. Kevin was dressed all in black and was wearing a black Kangol hat, facing backwards, of course.
I thought his act was good. I think it started off a bit weak but then it picked up when he started talking about having to lose weight and his love for food and his experiences trying water-skiing and jet skiing. He said he just wanted to lose just enough weight so that his belly would stop jiggling when he brushed his teeth.
The only regret I have is that I didn't bring my camera and I could have taken decent pictures. I thought the show was a bit short though. I would definitely see Kevin and Richie again if they return to perform here.
