 The scene near the end where what's his face is reporting the CBS news and whistles his "S's" - it was like a sound only dogs could hear!! My dog was asleep under his barstool (don't ask) and woke up with his eyes wide and ears perked and then started barking like crazy!!!

 at the Family Guy Writer/Producer regarding a show that put down Indians, Mexicans, Swedish and Canadians. What in the world were you thinking? It was not the least bit funny. You really need to think before you do something like that. We weren't very impressed with it.

Speaking as a 1/4 Mexican, 1/4 Swedish, and 7/9 Canadian, I had no problem with the episode.

In fact, I take some exception with your first post on SO being a racist gripe when we all know that Family Guy mocks everything, and mostly our ignorant perceptions.

Your pal,

Enrique Sven Trudeau Lemond

To be honest, I do have a problem with it because, I'm Native, Swedish and Canadian born, and there is no reason for any sitcom to sink that low. I know we will never watch the show again because of the racist remarks. Furthermore I don't believe you for one second about being a 1/4 this and a 1/4 that you are an American.

I was just kidding.

Family Guy insults everybody, and it can be mean, so you have to know what you're in for from the getgo.

No one is safe from their mocking.

I don't know why any of this got posted in a thread about my dog's reaction to Family Guy, but whatever......

Well, just for the record and since it is my thread, I AM Canadian. Second generation and I see nothing wrong with a joke. It's obvious its done for humour and they take shots at everyone - including Americans themselves.
They're not the only ones who've taken shots at Canadians - what about South Park and it's "Blame Canada" song. Big deal.
Why don't you freak on the makers of the movie "Canadian Bacon" - about the U.S. drumming up a war with Canada to divert attention from a presidential scandal. It took tons of shots at Canadians - French Canadians too. I thought it was hilarious. In such a diverse world, its not surprising we kid.
And it isn't racism - that's being against a certain RACE - not ethinticity.

Family Guy insults EVERYONE. White people, black people, Jews, Germans, Mexicans. And they do it in a way that it's not really all that offensive. Hell when they showed the Hitler type dude knock out the Polish guy and replaced the sign with "German Sausages," I thought it was hilarious. Then he started eyeing the Czech guy to his other side.

Well I'm 8th generation Canadian, a true Canadian, and I wouldn't even watch a movie like that to tell you the truth. And I certainly wouldn't watch South Park, it''s just plain sick, those kind of movies and shows are made for mindless people anyway eh.. :happyface

I am also a "true" Canadian - whatever that's supposed to mean - I don't think it matters what generation you are. Just ask anyone on these boards just how proud I am to be Canadian too.

Im a Canadian, i hate family guy, not cause im Canadian, but because, unlike the Simpsons, they dont parody, they insult

[B]Then why did you put your generation? I just thought I would do the same. If you were a true Canadian you would be disgusted at that phrase in the show regarding us not laugh out loud about it, there was nothing funny about it what so ever. That's it stick a fork in me I'm done.

You can be a true, patriotic proud Canadian and still be able to handle wry, tongue in cheek humour. It's so obvious when its done that it is in jest because it IS so outrageous.

And you have the nerve to call out ldelmond about being truthful - what's with 8th generation Canadian. Either your family reproduces at an extremely young age, or it had to come over with the Vikings for the timeframe to work since Canada is only 138 years old.

Besides - all you've done since you've registered is spammed the Family Guy board with negative posts and changed the entire topic of this thread. It was obviously meant as a lighthearted observation, mainly for fans of FG and you've turned it into a contraversy. By looking at all your posts, we get the point already that you don't like it - it would be appreciated if you didn't infect innocent threads. And if you hate it that much, nobody's forcing you to watch it.

Oh yes, and your family forged the Yukon and made history as they mounted the biggest dogsled team to ever die of boredom.

You are insulted by things that most intelligent people read as sarcasm or outright mocking of the human/ethnic condition.

You don't get it. You won't- ever.

Go climb up the family tree and leave SO alone.
