View Full Version : Marineland and Cheerios video clips
Here are 2 video clips from the A&E specials. One is the Marineland Carnival and one is the Cheerios commercial. Click the links and you will get the rapidshare site, scroll down and select the download "free" (not premium) box..another window will open, at the bottom will be a countdown timer, wait until it gets to zero then up will pop a large link for the .mpg video clip, right click this link and "save target as" to your drive. Each is about 3.5MB in size in .mpg format. Hope this works...

Munsters#1 06-19-2005, 01:47 PM I'm sorry AP, but your link doesn't work.
dirtprod 06-19-2005, 04:31 PM The link does work. You have to jump through a couple of hoops to get to the download, but it's painless.
Open the page, scroll down and select which type of service you want, (free or Premium.) Scroll down again. Then wait for like 20 seconds and the download is available to click on. You have to do the whole process twice to download both clips. BTW: Free does allow you to get both clips. So, go for it! :D
I've used this type of download site before. Some of them if you choose "free" you can only download one clip in a 24 hour period. Could be it's just a limit on how many MB you can do a day, I don't know.
Thanks, AP! To coin a phrase; "You Rock!" (Alas, that's been done before... Oh, well, you get the idea!)
My best,

Munsters#1 06-19-2005, 05:10 PM Still didn't work for me. :(
dirtprod 06-19-2005, 07:53 PM Does the page open to the words, "Rapid Share The easy way to share your files"? Then "Ad-financed 1-Click Webhosting + Webspace"?
If so, you're at the right place. At the bottom of the page it says, "Choose download-type". Click the "Free" button. At the bottom of the resulting page says, "You have requested the file marinelandcarnival.mpg". Stay scrolled to the bottom. The page reloads itself after the specified time and the file link is shown at the bottom of the page. Repeat the process for the second file.
If it doesn't open up to "Rapid Share", then I don't know what to tell you.
Good luck!

Munsters#1 06-19-2005, 08:45 PM I got this...
You have requested the file marinelandcarnival.mpg (3510834 Bytes). This file has been downloaded 2 times already.
IMPORTANT: Download-accelerators are only supported with a PREMIUM-Account (http://rapidshare.de/en/premium.html)!
You have requested 29937 KB in one hour. If you request a file and get a download-link, your download-counter is increased immediately.
This is neccessary in order to give you completely anonymous download-links without strong restrictions. We protect your privacy.
In order to finance this webspace, downloads are limited for free-users. This file exceeds your download-limit.
Please wait one hour. Or maybe you want to get a PREMIUM-Account (http://rapidshare.de/en/premium.html), too? NO subscription! Instant access!
It worked for me and then I also got the same message you just mentioned above, but I assumed I was over the limit for my IP address. I then tried now (hours later) and it worked, I got to the Download Ticket timer and it gave me the file...maybe try again later. These free sharing websites sometimes have download limits, are glitchy at times, sometimes are offline etc so please be patient with them. I'm trying to find the best one to use!
Edit later addition: try re-loading/refreshing your page if you get that error message, This site currently has what they call Happy-Hours with no wait/restrictions from 3-5am Central European time which for the USA is 9-11PM EST
here is another set of download links on a different server. Please try these if the above do not work for you. They are same clips so if you got them above no need to try these!
Marineland carnival link (http://www.qfile.de/dl/40531/marinelandcarnival.mpg.html )
Cheerios commercial link (http://www.qfile.de/dl/40534/munsterscheerios.mpg.html )
Again choose the free box then you will get on the bottom in a blue box "Your download link" right click here and "save target as" to your drive.
treky 06-19-2005, 09:42 PM I didn't try it; and I have no intention of doing it; even though I'd like to. I won't do it because there's, like, a 95% chance it won't work on my piece of crap computer!!!
(the motherboard and the USB ports are failing; and it would cost me $700 to get it fixed. I want a new one, but sadly, I can't afford it now :( )
Munsters#1 06-19-2005, 11:24 PM Much better, AP! :D
Also, treky, if you are using AOL, use Internet Explorer to download. AOL blocks a lot of things.
Thanks AP. I was lucky enough to have no probs downloading from your first post links.
The Cheerio's commercial is very good.
