I hear from amazon.com that they messed up the music on the series. Like the original songs that were played during the episodes were replaced. Is this true? I was thinking of buying the series on DVD, but I loved the original music they had on the show.
Can anyone help?

from what I read, Paula Cole's "I Don't Want To Wait" was on the first two seasons, but then Sony replaced it with something else from seasons 3-onward

Theme music is replaced on some sets, as well as songs that play during the episodes themselves. (this is mentioned on the packaging, I believe) Also, I have heard that ENTIRE SCENES are removed from at least one or two episodes due to music issues. That is awful...

You can go to the Dawson's Creek Music Guide (http://www.dawsonscreekmusic.com/music/dvd/) to find all the information on the song replacecments. I only bought the first two seasons (and really should never have started buying the series on DVD at all) before giving up.

god, Sony are cheap bastards. With the exception of Howie Day (and let's face it, he's not THAT well known), every single artist I am familiar with were replaced.
I don't even wanna know what's gonna happen in the season 6 episode where they go to a No Doubt concert.

That must suck for the DC fans. If I were a diehard fan, I'd be PO'd
