Every time I watch Far Out Munsters, I always consider it to be a time capsule, because of all the hippies and the music. What do you consider it to be?

Its telecast was when major changes in society was just happening, it captures that. It also lampoons it a bit with the Hermit's half-serious, half-satirical poetry. "Guy Lombardo's back in town!"

Your right. The late 1960's was a big turning point in American history. The Young Liberal movements, hatred for the Vietnam war, Johnson and Nixon, Color TV. It was a very turbulent time.

I can see it in the faces of all the cast in the room as the Hermit does his poetry. Everyone has a somber look on their face as if they're pondering all those things you mentioned.
One of my favorite episodes.

Everytime I see it, it reminds me of that old Star Trek episode where the hippies take over the ship-if you know which one I'm talking about.
