again, what is this about?

I feel the great ban coming on.

:rolleyes: The scammers recently discussed on this board are not members here, and if they join, they won't be here for long once they're discovered.

It is a rare member of sitcomsonline that does NOT venture into other trading groups. This isn't the only place to trade, and this isn't the only place where bad traders are encountered.

Members are free to point out scammers whether the con artist is a member or not. It is safe to say that bad traders in general are not safe here.

If that is supposed to insult anybody, or everybody, here, it's hard to take you seriously when you can't even spell "y'all".

theres just plain a lot of internet scammers on every board where theres a $$ to be made

you just have to understand that theres a cost to getting established, and that means you send first to old timers, and people with verifiable references--not hotmail, etc,

yes it seems like it will never work out, but you will meet some pretty square operators here and on some of the yahoo ones as well--many are the same folks on both places

you do whats expected and you will get references here, and after a while, you will be adding to your habit

it takes time,

yes most folks are very leary of new people, due to so many con artists out there that change emails on a daily basis and come back as someone new

nebies are not getting picked, its the same for everyone

i came here from another board and had lots of feedback there, but i needed to pay my dues and send first until these folks knew me

everyone must earn their stripes here

no one said it would be easy, and its not

but look at the rewards if you put forth the effort, more tv stuff to look at

I would respectifully disagree with Loren that there are "a lot of scammers" out there. They're actually quite uncommon, in my experience. I get no more than 1 scammer trolling for a victim every 3 weeks or so in my email This is interesting... Though "bad traders" seem to abound, I agree that there are fewer scammers than decent folk, but actually, as far as I'm aware, I've only had literally just a few scammers email me since I started trading two and a half years ago. It does help that I'm almost always too busy to post my have list, and even more rarely do I ever approach traders. I openly state "he who initiates trade sends first" which is excellent protection against the bad guys and hasn't slowed down the trade requests. :lol:

to be fair even though i disagree with this kind of useless posting i think what this person was actually trying to say was = to all the scammers on this board that they aren't exactly liked by him.
the post should have read

[ SUBJECT = TO ALL THE SCAMMERS ON HERE!! :mad:

or something to that effect.but i think by looking at it that he was only targeting the bad traders on this forum :wave:

You're being kind, Jason, but what 'bad traders' on this forum would he be referring to? He's certainly not referring to trades he's encountered since June 8th, when he joined.

Most of the recent discussions have been on some of the most notorious bad traders that have recently started targeting victims again, but they are certainly not members of this forum, at least not openly members.

Some people dislike bad trader posts, but I think they're necessary to keep trading as safe as possible. I'm always a little leery of those that criticize those posting bad trader comments (i.e. honor among thieves). :rolleyes:

i don't think that he/she is talking about any trades they have done but just referring to anybody who has been named on this board
i know that there are no known bad traders on these boards who are still currently members but i don't think this person even cares.
i don't think that he wanted to target the people doing good.i just try to be as fair as possible to people posting.i could be wrong about all my assumptions

i will say this though

the original post was pointless and didn't make things clear,and in his response to lazygrae he still didn't tell us what he meant.that in my mind is not fair to the other users, so he should explain!! :confused:
