View Full Version : TV Land's marathon of WB 50th Anniversary
mstewart 06-16-2005, 08:47 PM It was a good marathon weekend of the classic shows. Out of them all that was shown which one's do you wish that would run on a regular basis on either Nick at Nite or TVLand?
My answer is Valerie/The Hogan Family, Life Goes On and Eight Is Enough.
James"Thunder"Early 06-16-2005, 08:52 PM I agree with you about The Hogan Family, I'd had been anxious to see it and it was better than I thought so I would like to see it air regularly.
ClassicTV4Ever 06-16-2005, 10:12 PM Valerie/The Hogan Family
Alice
Perfect Strangers
Life Goes On
Sisters
gidgetgrape 06-16-2005, 10:12 PM I would love to see The Hogan Family again. I forgot how funny that show was. I would also like to see Eight is Enough.
benjamoon 06-16-2005, 10:35 PM I would like to see "Superman" and "F Troop" back on but as for ones that have never been on, I'd say "Alice" - I'd never seen it before and I found it quite enjoyable, "Valerie" wasn't bad either
Mr. Television 06-16-2005, 10:53 PM I think anyone of the shows that TV Land aired would be a welcomed addition. Its a shame that a lot of those shows are just sitting around collecting dust.

Skywalker 06-17-2005, 12:48 AM Chico and The Man
Alice
Dallas
Life Goes On
Valerie/Hogan Family
treky 06-17-2005, 02:14 AM F Troop
Dallas
Maverick
Tweety 06-17-2005, 07:01 AM Life Goes On.
That's true, but which show would you like to see back on TV? :)
I'm not including Dallas or Knots Landing because they're on SOAPnet (which I still do not get, but I digress)...
1). "Eight is Enough" (1977-1981)
2). "Falcon Crest" (1981-1990)
3). "Alice" (1976-1985)
Those three, IMO at least, would fit very well. FC, maybe not as much as the others, but they do love 80s dramas it seems...
Sean Snow 06-17-2005, 08:03 PM Life Goes On
Falcon Crest
China Beach
Eight is Enough
Christopher 06-17-2005, 11:26 PM Alice is the only show from that marathon I would love to see on TV again.
Pavan 06-18-2005, 12:27 AM Nick@Nite: Perfect Strangers, Hogan Family (both should be on decent hours, like 9pm or 10pm)
TV Land: Alice, Life Goes On (replacing MacGyver, since it is on Spike anyway)

This thread is not about what shows ARE coming. It is about what shows YOU would like to see.
TVJunkie101 06-18-2005, 06:50 AM Shows I Want To See:
Nick@Nite: Hogan Family; Perfect Strangers
TV Land: Scarecrow & Mrs. King; Life Goes On; Eight is Enough; Falcon Crest; Alice; F Troop
Of course there's more I'd want to see but I'm choosing shows that aren't on the air at all.
troopoleon8897 06-18-2005, 05:22 PM I heard The Ratings Were Very Good For Some Shows Could This Possibly Make Warner Release Some Of The Hire Rated Shows(Hint: The Hogan Family) ?
benjamoon 06-18-2005, 06:23 PM I'd also like to add that strangely enough, I really enjoyed "77 Sunset Strip"... I had taped it and I just watched it the other day and there was something cool about it

The ratings were NOT good.

Me too. I never saw that show before the marathon and I thought it was pretty good. I wish tvland would air it.

I wanted to see that show but my timer didn't work and I was too tired to stay up. Hopefully WB will release it on a best of DVD like some of the others. I know I'd buy it.
TheHappyBurgerMeister 06-19-2005, 12:06 AM The hogan family and perfect strangers. Mostly the hogan family though.

Ohh, My Bad I Must Have Gotten My Info Mixed.
jrb_wi 06-21-2005, 08:10 PM I didn't have much free time that weekend but I DID get to see an episode of Harry O. I thought it held up really well. The acting was great, especially from David Janssen. Shame that they didn't let it run more than two years. Unless it gets to DVD, it'll probably be the only episode that many of us get to see for a long time.
Scoobiedoo30 07-06-2005, 02:59 PM I wanted to say that I enjoyed The TV Land 50th Anniversarry Special
Weekend.
