It seems during the filming of the episode "Katchoo", the original dog was ran over by a car and they had to get a replacement dog that was not very cooperative. And because he was uncooperative, Tiger was seen so few and far in between in the first season, and then he was finally phased out in the second season and it seemed like the Bradys never had a dog at all. At least he lasted longer than Fluffy, the cat in the pilot episode. Vegas Girl 06-16-2005, 07:40 PM I noticed when "Tiger had puppies" that he was a different dog than the original. "FanFic News Publishing, Orlando ,Fla June 2005 Reporter: Ed Jessie Snoop Brady Dog "Tiger's contract was up for renewal at the end of season one. He was very angry that Susan Olsen(Cindy) was getting more airtime than he was. She was getting all the cutsie attention. He chose not to renew his contract for season two but it was agreed that he would return on the recurring basis and possibly decide to sign on for season three. Needless to say, he was mad furious that Cindy was even cuter in season two and he felt as though his role was going nowhere with the show and he wanted to pursue other projects such as singing and rabbit chasing. You know, things that would get him publicity. However, leaving the show did not fare so well for him. He eventually turned to a life of doggie booze, drugs and female b-----es. In early 1973 he was arrested fior holding up a pet store in Burbank, CA and his bail was set at a whoppting $7.50 . Long time friend Robert Reed (Mike Brady) bailed him out and gave him a place to stay and convinced him to come back to the show for the next season with the gaurantee of a salary that paid $22.56 per episode. He signed on to do eight shows, six for the last part of the season and a moving two parter that in which the bradys go to cincinati for business and fun. It wound up being one episode when his segments were cut or filmed again without him. Cindy and Bobby were going to be the ones to find him at the amusement park. There were plans to do a controversial spinoff series based on him and the female cat his character was going marry. The Brady cast would make appearances except for Susan Olsen(Cindy). She did not want to be in the same room with him but eventually agreed to appear but would film her scenes separately and then her takes would be combined with the others. During the filming of the Cincinati episode and one of Tiger's breaks, Sherwood Schwartz refused to give Tiger Gravy Train lunches in his dog house trailer, the gloves came of again. Tiger cussed out Schwartz and stormed off the set. They had to replace him with someone else....(enter) Cute and adorable Robbie Rist as Oliver who took over towards the end of the season. Schwartz called off the pilot series and continued filming the Cincinati ep without the dog. Also, the pilot attempt was replaced with the "Kelly's Kids" pilot featuring Ken Berry and Brooke Brundy. There you have it folks! Tiger has refused to take part in reunion specials and other events but does keep in contact with the cast from time to time except for Susan Olsen. When asked about the fued between him and her, she refused to comment. He currently resides in Fargo North Dakota and is currently divorced from his 17th wife who ironically threw him out of the "doghouse" and took all the Pedigree Canned Food. He has 32 children and is the grandfather of 68 and the great-grandfater of 104. Since the Brady Bunch he has appeared in dog food commecials and I think was an extra on "That's My Mama". He also became a freelance talent agent to the stars such as the last 6 six dogs that played "Lassie" since 1974, The Dolphin that played Flipper in 90;s version of the series. The Dog "Grover",from "Who's the Boss", "Comet" from Full House, "Chris" the dog that played "bethoveen", Salem the cat from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Dryefuss, the dog from "Empty Nest", Mike Tyson, etc. There are plans for his comback into TV. He has made pilot for a new reality series about characters disappear into thin air. It has been rumored that both Chucks from Happy Days, Fluffy, the cat from the origianal brady pilotJudy Winslow from Family Matters and Tiffany Holloway from 227 will appear along with the two kids from the Torlklesons along with Brendan from Step by Step. He goes around the country to publicly speak against the evils of heart worm disease and how dogs can prevent it from happening to them. He also has started a protest in an attempt to ban Bob Barker from saying, "Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered." He and Barker are not on speaking terms right now. You can read his auto biography "I may be a "Tiger", but I was treated like a "dog". |
