I am in the process of going through old tapes of mine, and there's a "Petticoat Junction" episode where Betty Jo is pregnant, and Steve is trying to land a deal with the department of agriculture, which leads to a business fight between him and Uncle Joe. The side story is Uncle Joe and Bobbie Jo trying to get in shape by running...
according to the episode guides, the only PJ episodes when Betty Jo is pregnant are: "Birthplace of a Future President," "The Singing Sweethearts," "Only a Husband," and "The Valley Has a Baby" so the question is WHERE is this episode in the run and WHAT is it called?

Are you sure that she's pregnant, Or was she trying to lose the baby fat? The only thing that I can thunk about was when Steve got a new job. But Betty Jo had the baby already I believe.

No... I considered that too but there were lines in the episode about the baby coming and she definately looked very pregnant, not like after the baby look

Sorry I didn't get here earlier; this is my first post. I think I have the answer to your question thanks to TV.com:

Your tape is most likely of By The Book, the last first-run broadcast of the '68-'69 season which was mysteriously held back. It is apparently the only episode of the season with the original opening credit sequence aside from The Valley Has A Baby which refers to Kate being "out of town" and would most logically have been broadcast right after Only A Husband, the last episode in which Bea Benaderet physically appeared, but wasn't. Why is anybody's guess.
