I am sure every die hard fan of Freddie's remembers reading in his mother's biography of his life that he wrote a song.. (at least one that we know of) but no further info could be found out about it. Well I was doing some research for the thread about Freddie's appearances on the Tonight show and went to the Tonight show's official website. I took the IMDb date that was listed for Freddie being a guest host and put it in. Well Tony Orlando was a guest on that show and it mentions Tony singing a song entitled "Thank You for Loving Me" WRITTEN BY FREDDIE!

Here is the link:Freddie Prinze guest hosting the Tonight Show 1/19/76 (http://www.johnnycarson.com/carson/search.do?name=Freddie+Prinze&singleDateMonth=1&singleDateDay=19&singleDateYear=1976&dateRangeBeginMonth=1&dateRangeBeginDay=Day&dateRangeBeginYear=1973&dateRangeEndMonth=1&dateRangeEndDay=Day&dateRangeEndYear=1977&x=51&y=16)

I am still searching... now that I have a title...

Thanks for the info Lucky! I would love to see that! Tony should record that song on a record album. (Hint, hint!) :)

:( Unfortunately Jon Bon Jovi wrote and recorded another song by the same title (which I have on Bon Jovi's Crush album) and when I did a search on the internet looking for it, their song is the only one I could find. I did look on the discography for Tony Orlando and Dawn and it seems like they never recorded Freddie's song, at least I couldn't find it on an album of theirs anywhere. I guess it was a one shot thing on the Tonight Show. Man, would I love a copy of that show.
