I'm pretty upset... I've just noticed I missed so much watching episodes that were translated into spanish!

i don't know if it was the censure of the 80s or whatever, but many phrases have been changed! And i'm not talking about set phrases, expressions or that stuff... that could be comprehensible... i'm talking about the real meaning, sometimes it's completely lost! :mumble:

i give you an example: in pilot episode, when David takes Maddie to his office:

David: Why are you looking at me like that?
Maddie: I’m just surprised you didn’t try to take me to your place.
David: I think I’m insulted. Would you've gone for it? Of course you would’ve.

OK, so in spanish version he says absolutely the opposite! he says Maddie would have never gone to his place! (that's not the real David :p !) So what the hell...?!!!

So it's time for me to order the DVDs and try to improve my english...

EDITED! I missed something... probably my english is worse than what i think it is, and in original version he's really meaning that Maddie would have never gone to his apartment!! :lol:

That must be really annoying Myst! You can understand how translation changes things, but it should never change the meaning! :mad:

I always read that scene that David pretends to be insulted when Maddie thought he'd come on to her, but then jokes that if he'd asked, she would have gone for it!
