I was wondering if anyone knows how long the contract for Cheers is on TV Land. Due to the Cheers DVDs I don't watch Cheers that much on TV Land, but I do like to catch an occasional episode on there from time to time (mainly during special marathons) and hope that the show remains on TV Land for years to come.

TV Land/Nick@Nite signed a 7 year deal, so the contract started in 2001 and runs through 2008.

I guess that's not really anthing we have to worry about anytime soon since it's only a little over 1/2 way through with that contract.

That's good! I was hoping Cheers wouldn't leave anytime soon. I love to watch it before getting ready for bed. LOL.

Did anyone see Sam on TV Land's Greatest TV Men last night? He's #9 (in my opinion, he's #1!) Sam & Diane were 1 of the tv couples on another tv land show :)

I missed both of those. I wanted to see that one and the Top Ten TV Couples one.

I saw how Sam was #9 on TV Land's Greatest TV Men. I saw that a while back the first time the show aired.

I didn't see the TV Land's Greatest Couples though. Well, I sort of did. I flipped on the TV last night and caught the last of it, I saw who was #1.

I just found Cheers really. I just started to become a fan. I was hopeing that it wouldn't go off TV untill i got seasons 1-5 on DVD. I just love all the episodes that Diane is in. I would be so sad if Cheers went of TV! :(

I just found Cheers a while ago myself. Hmmm, I don't remember when I became a fan. I don't think it was until this past December or January.

Anyways, I don't have all of the season yet either. I only have Season One.

I'm REALLY picky about doing things in order, and being organized and things like that. So, I have to get the seasons in order. For me that is 2, 3, 4, and then 5. LOL. Like I said, I already have Season One.

I never watch it on TVLand anymore. I haven't watched the DVDs in a while either. I have all 5 seasons, and I'm looking forward to Season 6, but I'd rather have the summer take its sweet time, so I can definitely wait.

I think I'm going to watch Cheers on TV Land some over the next week and a half before they get rid of it's double take. Cool to see Cheers stunts in August and October!

I bought some of the Cheers seasons out of order as well, however now I'm on track.
I bought them in this order (the date in () is when I bought it)
Season 3 (July 04)
Season 2 (Nov 04)
Season 1 (Dec 04)
Season 4 (Feb 05)
Season 5 (Jun 05)
It took me a while to decide to buy TV shows on DVD and now I only do it with my very favorites (Cheers, Three's Company, and Seinfeld).
