This was definitely one of the better True Hollywood Stories that I've seen. Obviously the most commented on part of it was about Kirk and how his religious values conflicted with the show, but it also discussed how the show was created and put together in the beginning, and it discussed things that happened with the other cast members too -- like Alan's struggles in his early career, Joanna's divorce, Tracey's anorexia and the trouble Jeremy had with a stalker.

On one of Kirk's entries in his column at his website he described it as a special that was about his conflicts with the show and how the cast and producers voiced all the frustrations they had with him. When I read what he wrote it made me wonder if he only watched parts of it and missed some major points because it sounded like he thought the entire documentary was only about him and that it was all negative, which was not true -- it was about the show in general as well as ALL the cast members and most of the cast said positive things about him as well as the negative.

he never implied that he that he was focus, or that they just sat around and bashed him for 2 hours. I give him a lot of credit for admiting his mistakes or even saying anything about the E hollywood thing. most people would have just tried to justify themselves and say that a lot of things never happened, but he has admited to mistakes and from what I gather learned from them. I do think however that what ever happened when he became religious is all water under the bridge, the cast made 2 reunion movies together and seem to have gotten over it but it seems like it always comes back to bit him. But on the flip side Tracey Gold nearly kills her entire family by drunk driving and all I ever read is about she how should be forgiven- what is worse becoming to religous or almost killing your children while drunk.

Below is the link and a direct quote of what Kirk wrote in the column I was talking about. He did say it was a "special on my spirituality" when it wasn't --it was about the whole show and all the cast and how GP was created.

I was not attacking Kirk -- in fact, I was simply pointing out that some people tend to focus too much on that part of the THS and ignore everything else that was on it. I also do think he may have simply come to the wrong conclusion about the THS because he may not have watched the whole thing and missed some points rather than his statement in his column being just egotism on his part. I think it sounds like he's very focused on his ministry and probably doesn't pay too much attention to stuff in the secular media -- even when its about GP or himself.

Yes, Kirk has obviously befriended the whole cast again and they obviously have wanted to work together again twice on reunions. Tracey has also admitted her mistakes, though, and has also done the best she could to make up for them by trying to educate people on the issues she has experience with. Those efforts obviously don't erase the drunk driving or how wrong she was to do that, but that is the best she can do now since she can't go back and change her actions and poor judgement. She admitted she was in the wrong at a time when a lot of other celebrities would have believed they were above the law and just wiggled their way out of it. She also took responsibility for recovering from her eating disorder instead of blaming the show for all her problems.

I have never said her offence should just be forgotten about -- since she did the crime she deserved to have to go through the legal system and get convicted and sentenced, and she did.

"Let me give you some behind-the-scenes, Seaver family background. E! Entertainment recently did a special on my spirituality in which they interviewed my TV family, airing their negative comments about my conversion to Christianity. Even the Growing Pains producers were wildly frustrated with me, due to my "content issues," and they didn't hesitate to voice their disapproval, and as a result, I'm a bit nervous about talking with them about the things of God."

Not the same article I read, but youv'e got to admit the main focus of E true Hollywood story is reporting dirt and catfights, and general misery of sitcom sets, so a big portion of the show were focuses on Kirk and his mistakes, I wouldn't blame him for not watching something so tabloid like that,But this is really not worth debating my point remains the same, who cares what mistakes Kirk Cameron made back then, no one is the same person they were 10 or 15 years ago. Let it go.

You were the one who seemed to have a problem with my response to SOMEONE ELSE'S question, so you were the one who was not letting it go.

Geeze calm down already- I am not bent out of shape about anything- I am not the one who took the time to look up those exact quotes and everything to prove a point. I have more of life then that.

I just think that if you're going to make a point about something you should actually know what you're talking about instead of just assuming you already know everything. It only took me about 15 seconds to bring up Kirk's website and copy and paste that quote to my post, so unless you're really intellectually challenged it shouldn't take that long to check your facts when the information is right there on the internet.
