J.J becoming a successful Art Director for an Advertising Agency and still living in that High rise low rent Apt in the Ghetto. It just looked so strange for J.J to come home from work wearing a suit and headed back to the projects. What man wears a suit to work and lives in the projects?-lol Poor writing once again.

If Florida was gone, how come nobody took her room?

It might not have paid enough to move. And the idea of the show was for them to be struggling to get out of the projects, so I guess the writers didn't want to mess that up.

Well they should have never made him a Art Director. He should have just continued working at the Rib Shack-lol It looked so Foolish for a Art Director to still be living in the Projects

Yeah, that's strange alright. But, I grew up in the projects myself, and you would be surprised how fancy a lot of people dressed. A lot of people had decent jobs, they just preferred to live in projects.

I think it was foolish to continue without Florida. It made her character look bad that she abandoned her children...in the projects no less.

Not Really because Thelma and J.J were Adults at the start of season 5.

I am not very familiar with the 5th season of Good Times; but since Florida's character was not in this season, I think the writers were trying to make JJ the main focus of the show and to make him appear more interesting, they gave him an interesting job, but at the same time did not take away the permise that he came from a poor family, which was initially the concept of Good Times.
