hi there,

first of all sorry 'bout my english, i hope you understand what i write!

well, i'm a (recent) spanish moonlighting fan and this post is just for greetin' those people that also love that wonderful series and feel the same i feel when i hear the main theme or Bruce's voice  , although those people aren't from Spain.

actually i think you're so lucky, the dvd hasn't been released here yet, and i think it wil take a long long time before it will be :( , you can also enjoy moonlighting (in Spanish "Luz de Luna") in its original language, and i'm not meaning that the dub (? i'm not sure this is the correct word!) into spanish is not good, but you can get all those little things that only the real voice of an actor/actress can give to a character.

I'm hokked on the music too, i can't stop listening to some songs included in the series and in particular:
- The Isley Brothers - This Old Heart of Mine (MY FAVE!!!)
- Aretha Franklin - Respect
- Billy Joel - Big Man On Mulberry Street
- Lenny Welch - Since I fell for you (lovely one!)
- Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Nowhere To Run
- Patti Labelle - If Only You Knew
- The Ronettes - Be My Baby (my second fave  )
- The Supremes - Come See About Me

well! i'm goin' on and on so, i'm really pleased to have found this forum and i feel like to participate on it, i was feelin' like an oddball!!! :(

Besos y hasta pronto! (Sorry about my english again!!!)

Laura.

P.S. Your English isn't bad at all. In fact, if you didn't say anything about it, I wouldn't even have noticed you where Spanish ;)

Hehe! well, thanks a lot, but i keep thinking my post would have been a mess without the dictionary in front of me!   !

In my previous post i forgot to tell ya that i've just created a ML fotolog (you can visit it at www.fotolog.net/moonlighting (http://www.fotolog.net/moonlighting)), where i want to upload some images and pieces of dialogs from scenes, so if you want to participate sending me pieces of that dialogs that sometimes i don't understand very well (they talk SO QUICKLY! -in particular Bruno!!!- ) i'll be very very thankful!

Saludos!!

hi there Myst! Glad to have you with us. I really love your list - I love all those songs too. Especially The Isley Brothers one. I have it ona Motown album and I always play it in the car.

I also really love the Linda Ronstadt song which is playing in The Next Murder You Hear, when Maddie is at home. I really like Linda Ronstadt. I think they used another one of her songs in Moonlighting, but I can't seem to remember when. Am I completely making that up?

In The Next Murder You Hear, I believe the song you are referring to is "Ooo Baby Baby" which was a hit for Linda Ronstadt but in this episode is the original song done by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles.

The Linda Ronstadt song "Someone to Watch Over Me" used in Maddie's Turn to Cry, season 3.

Really? I was sure that they used Linda's version in the episode. Linda has such a fantastic voice. Yes, that's the one - Someone to Watch Over Me. I really like that song. It's on the soundtrack too, isn't it? Also, Cybill does this song on her At Home with Cybill album.

I've just listened to both versions, i think i like more the Smokey Robinson and & Miracles one, that 'vintage' sound makes it really good, but really both versions are terrific!!! :biglove:

Ooh thanks for that Cindy, I was wondering who did that song - I really love that song and wanted to find it on CD. Again, as usual, a brilliant link between the tone of the song and what we're seeing in the programme... The use of music in ML is one of the things that makes it 'great great' for me.
