O.k. - if you saw an email that was sent referring to someone that you don't even know as "Is he a spanker too?" with a > giggle < behind it, what would you think?
I say it's a degregatory comment, but just not sure "how bad". Does that make sense?

If I don't know the sender, I'd suspect that it might be a virus and delete it.

I think it's a derogatory comment, block the address.

Thanks - we know its not spam - it came from a legit person, but they sent the message out to an entire company rather than the few people they thought they were!!
Justification for firing then?????

Just because you know the address that sent it doesn't mean thats who sent it.
But since you seem to know he sent it, I would say it probably is an offense that could get them fired.

K - that's what we're thinking.
Plus, its obvious something was going on - they tried to recall the message three times, but they have remote plants and it couldn't be retrieved!!
Some moronic secretary that sent it out trying to be funny I guess to her dept. - it also will get someone else fired, because she's never even met the person she was referring to - only one person in the dept. has, and it means he was referring to the dept. V.P. as a spanker!!
When we people get it through their heads that when you use email at work you have to be EXTREMELY careful!
The real crazy thing is that they're currently going through a restructuring and are looking for heads to chop. Guess who's gonna be first and second!

You don't play around like that at or you're asking for trouble.
Or at least know how to mask it so it can't be traced to you.
Reminds me of the Southwest commercial where the woman launched the pink slip virus...

Yes - my husband is the Director of IT at this company and it was him she was referring to!!! As well as the Vice President. Doesn't get much higher than that!!
Its a company they're taking over too - and if they knew the CEO of this company (he hasn't seen it - yet) they would be shaking in their boots right now - he fired someone because they wouldn't put the name of a friend up for his birthday on a screen at a football game!!
