SpunkiiMonkii7078 06-10-2005, 09:08 AM Wow! Only a month and 16 days until Season Two. That seems like a long time, but then again... it doesn't.
I can't wait until I get mine, because I haven't seen that many Season Two episodes. I remember when I was little, I watched a lot of Season One episodes, and Season Six and Seven episodes.

SpunkiiMonkii7078 06-11-2005, 09:47 AM I know I thought that the discs spelling out 'Mary' was really cute! I wonder if they're going to that for the Season Two discs... wait... I think there might be three discs this time. Does anybody know that? If Season Two will have three or four discs?

It's going to be 3 discs, but one of them will be double-sided, so I don't think they can put any art on that one. :( But the 'Mary' thing on S1 was def. cute, hehe!
Kristen
robyrob 06-11-2005, 05:42 PM i thought that they had figured out that people dont like double-sided tv-dvds unless there are massive amounts of disks??

Thanks for telling me. That's what I thought, but I wasn't quite sure. Why are they doing one double sided disc, and then just two regular discs? I think that is sort of stupid. They should just have two double sided dics then.
I'm sort of curious what is going to be on the discs now... They'll probably be plain discs, and I'll waste my curiousity... I also wonder why the inside of the box will look like. Hmmm, more things to ponder about.

TV DVD Fan 06-21-2005, 10:18 AM faster than you thought huh? here's my first link to a clip from "Christmas and The Hard Luck Kid II". It runs a minute and two seconds and contains the opening scene with Mary talking to her mother and Mr. Grant asking to see Mary's nativity scene. (which she had. ) My favorite TV Christmas episode ever!

And "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" was the show that gave her the ads as "Happy Hotpoint" Elf. *until she became pregnant with Ritchie*
TV DVD Fan 07-07-2005, 12:39 PM Sorry, ClassicTVGal, but that is incorrect.
More takers, before we get to the hot seat?

ClassicTVGal 07-07-2005, 03:13 PM Wait, you did mean "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" when you said, 'Mary' TV Show..., right?

Kristen 07-24-2005, 08:42 PM Thanks for the pics, Robyrob! I can't wait for Tues! (Can ya tell I'm also a little jealous you got yours early? ;) ) hehe
Lolac 07-25-2005, 12:25 PM Mine came on Saturday. I am so excited! I've been watching the episodes and you know what? There are some I don't remember seeing before, like the one where Ted's brother, (played by Jack Cassidy) comes to visit. That makes it fun, like seeing it for the first time.
Lolac
Leigh Ann 07-30-2005, 10:42 AM I got mine the day it came out. I've been loving watching it. I'm glad it finally came out because I kind of forgotten what S2 was like. It's nice to see those episodes again. Now, I hope S3 comes out soon!
JaneTVFan 07-30-2005, 09:38 PM What's up with Mary? I've been watching the Season Two disc set, and every single cast member contributed in some way -- interviews, commentary, etc. -- EXCEPT Mary herself! It was her dang show, why didn't she want to be a part of this disc set? Was she involved with the Season One disc set? I didn't see that one, so I don't know. But even Betty White and Georgia Engel participated, and they weren't even on this show in the second season! I remember in 2002 when the first season disc set came out, most of the cast of was on Larry King Live to promote it, BUT NOT MARY! Why????
Lolac 07-31-2005, 12:43 PM That's an excellent question. I've been wondering that myself. She is on the TDVDS extras, but it is in a special that was done on CBS in the 90s. Rumor has it that no one can pay Mary enough to do this stuff. It seems it's all about money. Who knows?
Lolac

Yeah, I know someone who did a book on TDVDS. Everyone involved with the show was willing to sit for an interview EXCEPT Mary. She finally gave in ONLY because Carl Reiner made a personal phone call and pleaded with her to participate. And she did make some comment to my friend about not being paid for her time, and was clearly not happy doing this. Very strange. Surely she gets huge royalties for these DVD sales. I would think she'd be out there doing whatever she can to promote them. I find this behavior bizarre.
Lolac 07-31-2005, 06:36 PM She doesn't get the royalties for TDVDS because of the way her original contract was structured but SURELY she's making big bucks from her own show!! I don't get it.
