Hopefully the remaining 3 shows are something I've never seen.

Not everyone buys the DVDs. This show hasn't been aired on cable in many years. So, this is great news. With shows being both on TV Land and DVD, shows like Sanford & Son, Three's Company, Andy Griffith, etc still pull in high ratings on TV Land and not to mention are high sellers on DVD.

This is great, I guess. I haven't seen it since around 2000 when it aired on one of my locals, so I'll definitely be tuning in!

A better choice, IMO, than GT and NC.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing What's Happening on tv land. Granted, I own the first 2 seasons on dvd, but I have no plans on buying season 3 so it will be cool to see it on tvland.

Do you know if What's Happening Now will air along with What's Happening or is that information not available now?

Good question. I'm not sure yet. The Program Exchange has licensed WHN, too, but who knows if TV Land will air it.

If they air "What's Happening Now" I'll be happy, if not.... major disappointment.

Not a huge shocker there.

I kind of like the show but I don't see it drawing a big audience, IMO.

Maybe I'll be wrong and it does really well but it strikes me as a show that's either a total hit or a total miss. Guess it would depend.

But still, it's nice to see it back on the air again. I'll likely be watching.

Good choice! I loved What's Happening! It hasn't been on since my local station took it off in '02.

The show has not been seen in the NYC market since the mid 90s on WNYW.

I wish TV Land would offer up something you can't buy in stores. I know a lot of people don't buy DVD's, but people who absolutely must have Good Times and What's Happening HAVE THE DVD'S

Pretty soon everything will be on DVD anyway. I could understand if it were say a show that is on DVD already and has been aired to death in reruns, but What's Happening!! hasn't been seen in years on cable.

WH is a relatively short-run series, it probably cost much less than it would to purchase "The Facts of Life", "One Day At A Time" or "Alice".... which I know are three of the most wanted shows to be added.

The only think I'll be happy with is FOL (and WTB?, but i doubt that will happen)

If it's true that everything will be on DVD, then I hope The Love Boat comes out sometime too.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out soon. It seems like the type that would be out on DVD quickly. I'd try my damnedest to buy it, that's for sure!

I think the last place it was seen on cable was BET like ten+ years ago, wasn't it? The last place I've seen it aired on TV period was UPN 50 in Detroit. What's Happening will finally be on cable again :)

It would have made more sense for TV LAND to add WH to the lineup first and have a WH marathon in July since Good Times has been seen every where since 2002.

How is TVLand going down the toilet by picking up WH? It hasn't been on cable in years, literally, almost a decade, and it was produced completely before 1980. This kind of show is exactly what TVLand stands for.
