Hello Silver Spoon fans.

A few years ago, I saw an episode of SS on Nick at Nite in which Ricky mentions that he just got an 'email,' which floored me at the time because I didn't know the word existed back then (episode circa '84). Every time I tell someone about this, they look at me like I'm crazy before actually telling me that I am crazy. Has anyone else ever seen this episode (that is the ONLY thing I remember about the episode) or am I really crazy? If there is any way I could verify this, it would help me out a LOT!

Thanks for your help in advance!

I can't confirm or deny that, MrHogwash. It has been so long since I've seen any of the episodes! I have to check that out. But I do recall that in the 80s, they were developing what we now call the internet. It is very possible that you are NOT crazy. You have to remember that the Strattons were billionaires and had access to a lot of high-tech things that middle class people did not have. That's just a theory. Don't quote me on this!

The episode is The Secret Life of Ricky Stratton. He was "grocking" with several people and ended up getting a date with "Lady Godiva". It's not e-mail but it's the 80s answer to instant messenger. The episode was from the last part of season three in 1985.
