Okay, a few weeks back, I was asking about ideas for biopics. As part of my
upcoming post-grad screenwriting class, it was suggested that I write a suspense movie script. I have completed an action/adventure screenplay and am currently working on a comedy screenplay, and want to be ready soon with a suspense screenplay, so that way I would have three different genres. My problem is, I have not seen so many suspense-type movies. Any suggestions?

Suspense movies I have seen:

Secret Garden
The Dead Zone
Rear Window
Cellular (does this count?)
MISERY (definitely!)
Insomnia (pretty much anything Stephen King)
Cujo
Memento (does this count?)
The 60's film with Audrey Hepburn as a blind woman who protects a heroin-filled doll from drug smugglers, forgot the name of it, but it was a great movie!

Any others that fit the category?

Insomnia is not the same story as the Stephen King novel.

The Stephen King novel, Insomnia, is about a 70 year old man in Derry, Maine (a fictitious town) that can't get to sleep and sees strange things in town.

Arachnophobia is probably the most suspenseful movie I have seen. It tops all others, probably because I have a fear of spiders.

Actually, I would qualify most of the films on your list as horror movies and not suspesne movie. Rear Window, Insomnia and Memento are the only ones that are suspense films, the rest are horror films.

Suspense movies that I reccomend would be anyhing directed be either Alfred Hitchcock or Brian De Palma. You might also want to see Fatal Attraction, Cape Fear (either version), Unfaithful, Sea of Love, Seven, Kalifornia, Manhunter and The Silence of the Lambs
