View Full Version : Prediction in Michael Jackson Verdict?
Janice 06-04-2005, 02:19 PM The jury in the Michael Jackson case is deliberating. What do you think will be the verdict? Not what you want the verdict to be, but what you think it will be?
Michael Jackson faces the following charges:
One Count: Conspiracy to commit child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion
Four Counts: Lewd act on a child under 14
One Count: Attempted lewd act on a child under 14
Four Counts: Administering alcohol to enable child molestation
Brian 06-04-2005, 02:19 PM I think he's going to get off.
rusyd 06-04-2005, 02:28 PM Unfortunatley, he will be found not guilty. Not enough solid evidence.
TripperFan 06-04-2005, 02:31 PM I think he'll get off. I'm almost positive that he has committed inappropriate acts on kids - whether it was fullout molestation is another thing and there's just enough reasonable doubt that I don't think the jury will come to a verdict easily on it. It may even end up hung.
Unfortunately, I think the Prosecution clouded the testimony with so much crap that they could have hurt themselves with it. It mostly depends on what was in the video from the 1993 case. Apparently if they had just shown it and rested their case, there might have been a better chance at a guilty verdict. I think if I were a juror, a lot would rest on what was said/seen in that video from the first boy compared to what this kid is saying (i.e. if they could both describe MJ's penis identically, then that's pretty bad for Michael - even if no molestation took place, why should children being seeing it anyway?)
I do believe his mother is a skank con-artist and if the kid was truly molested, then she's partially to blame.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 06-04-2005, 02:32 PM Not guilty. The mother is a crackpot.
Mr. Television 06-04-2005, 03:16 PM He's guilty but he'll get off. All celebrities do.
L&OFan4Eva 06-04-2005, 03:17 PM I think it will be a hung jury. It just seems so obvious as of late.
Fleet 06-04-2005, 03:24 PM This really is a complex case. And it's hard to predict how the jury will rule.
The best guess I can make is guilty on some counts.
Janice 06-04-2005, 03:31 PM I think he'll skate on the kidnapping charges, but will be convicted on a couple of the molestation and alcohol charges.
TripperFan 06-04-2005, 03:34 PM I think he'll skate on the kidnapping charges, but will be convicted on a couple of the molestation and alcohol charges.
Boy I HOPE so! Yeah, the kidnapping thing is TOTALLY bogus - but something's very weird with the other things - especially the wine. Why would there be standing orders on all his flights to put white wine in diet Coke cans???? And it sounds like he hits the bottle more than we ever imagined.
Michael Jackson drunk - that must be some sight! (maybe THAT'S the reason his nose is gone....from falling on it too often)!
Superstar 06-04-2005, 04:06 PM I think he's guilty, but he'll get off.
Chelsea 06-04-2005, 05:06 PM Choice #3 is poor word choice considering the case, no?
*MIBabe03* 06-04-2005, 05:10 PM I think he's going to get off.
I think so too.
barwars 06-04-2005, 05:17 PM I think he's going to get off.
Isn't that what got him here in the first place?!
Anyways. Yeah, not guilty. I honestly do not believe he did it. He's a crazy, twisted man.... but I believe he's innocent.

I agree, but I hope I'm wrong. This IS the same state that let O.J off.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Munsters#1 06-04-2005, 06:36 PM Now that we're all done laughing at the same joke, I think Jackson will be convicted on almost all counts. He isn't gonna get away with this one.
Rhiannon 06-04-2005, 06:37 PM i say hung jury.
I personally think it is going to be a hung jury.

Chelsea 06-04-2005, 07:48 PM Not Guilty
Janice 06-04-2005, 08:20 PM Choice #3 is poor word choice considering the case, no?
Now that you mention it.
Max Whittaker 06-04-2005, 08:42 PM Whatever the verdict is, this case has been difficult on Mr. Jackson. His health will probably be pretty poor at the close of it.

I think so too. If he ever goes to prison, I don't know if he'll be able to cope with it. Guilty, innocent, who knows, but he's one emotionally fragile man.
Mr. Television 06-04-2005, 09:04 PM I really don't know what happened to him. I was a fan of his when he was with The Jackson Five. He had so much talent for being so young. He just sort of cracked up over the years and I don't think all his family and friends protecting him all these years has done him any good.
*MIBabe03* 06-04-2005, 09:08 PM I don't know if he will get convicted or not, but I think his career might be over.

For the most part, I blame his father.
*MIBabe03* 06-04-2005, 09:11 PM For the most part, I blame his father.
True. I wouldn't be surprised if his father molested him as a child. I've heard there was physical abuse in the family.

I know. I was saying that to my husband just yesterday. Michael was a Superstar! He could still be on the music scene, maybe not a chart-topper, but he could have had a nice long career. Sort of like Frank Sinatra did. Sinatra was huge in his prime and was still playing Vegas into his later years.
It's crazy. Same with Elvis. These guys were on top of the world.
JDS84 06-04-2005, 09:17 PM I think he'll get away with it again.
TripperFan 06-04-2005, 09:18 PM Yup - no matter what, it's a sad case all around. It's broken my heart to see how Michael's gone over the years.
We had Tiger Beat and Sixteen pics all over our rooms of him, Donny, David and Bobby back then. Michael and Jermaine were my favourites. Shows how mental illness left untreated can slowly eat away at someone.
Howard Weissman said on E! that he really worries about Michael if he has to go to jail - even in a seperate section he doesn't think he can handle it.
Normally I wouldn't have much sympathy - especially for child molestors, but in his case, its obvious he's a sick man - and Lord only knows just HOW sick - we may only know the tip of the iceberg.
I can't see him living to an old age for some reason.

Thats true. Even if he is found innocent, I don't see him having a happy ending.
barwars 06-04-2005, 09:40 PM If he is found guilty, I don't think he should have to pay any "damages" to the families. He should be sent to jail if found guilty, but the families should get nothing. Con-artists is exactly what they are, whether Michael is guilty or not.
Whatever was left of Michael's career is completely shattered now, even if he's not guilty. Like OJ, he'll never live this down.

The parents probably are acountable in some way but the kids aren't. They deserve something. This will be with them for a lifetime.

True. They should get something when they turn 18. (and no.... not a visit from Michael!) But their parents should get nothing. IMO they're no better than Jackson.
Dean Winchester 06-04-2005, 10:06 PM he'll get off just because he's "Michael Jackson"
