I've used the free one for the longest time, but it's not worth it anymore. they're so desperate for you to give them your money that they started putting unremovable watermarks in the middle of the animation.

You can also download a free 30-day trial of Adobe PhotoShop. It comes with Adobe ImageReady which is to create web-ready GIF animations.
