I just realized this while taking this shot. How in the heck did they fit the Drag-U-La into the dungeon?

View Full Version : Major Blooper! Munsters#1 06-02-2005, 05:54 PM I just realized this while taking this shot. How in the heck did they fit the Drag-U-La into the dungeon? A.P. 06-02-2005, 06:35 PM A better question is why it's in a dungeon anyway? In "Munster, go Home" the Drag-u-la was built in a garage/carriage house! dirtprod 06-12-2005, 10:58 AM It's from a movie promo, but obviously, it was shot before the movie was made, (note the original headlamps.) Actually, the Dragula was made a second time in England. The first time was in "Hot Rod Herman". They built it to win back the Koach, which Herman had previously lost in a drag race for pink slips. So I guess that's the real blooper... :D My best, Dirt MunsterKoach.com (http://www.MunsterKoach.com) gilligan fanatic 06-12-2005, 11:00 AM if Spot can fit in the dungeon I guess the Drag-U-La can as well dirtprod 06-12-2005, 11:34 AM They've got one of the intake blowers off, too... It's on the table behind Grandpa. What do you suppose they were up to? I'll bet George Barris, (or one of his staff at the time,) was close by, too... A.P. 06-12-2005, 12:04 PM Missed the headlight and the blower detail... glad your back! Yes obviously photographed before the actual shooting of "M,gH", maybe they just assumed there was going to be a dungeon in England! Here is the Drag-u-la in that rare transition phase of the glass (not spider-headlights) and open cockpit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/apennyworth2/dragulapixs/dragcolora.jpg dirtprod 06-12-2005, 01:52 PM I guess the original headlamps weren't creepy enough. (No spider on the top...) Thanks, AP! Good to be home again... :D Schmoe56789 06-13-2005, 01:22 AM It seems that a lot of the shots in the MGH trailer and promos aren't the actual ones from the movie (like Herman walking by Marilyn and Roger on the boat, and Herman and Grandpa realizing the secret of Munster Hall), and in the living room parts, Marilyn's hairstyle differs from what it is in the movie. I know that's not too amazing an observation, but uh... yes. |
