It is strange how everyone accepted Stefan as simply a clone Steve created. I mean think about it: Where did he live? Wouldn't he be required to show ID and his social security number? (which he would not have). if you are going to do anything (find a job, get an apartment) you would need ID or a social security number. He could not just say I am cloned. I guess the writers did not think of any of this. Any thoughts?

Yeah that is strange, where did he live anyway?
I have no idea where he lived but to get a place you would need some form of ID and social security number.

I think during the summer of 1996 Stephan lived with the Winslows, then he got that job offer in Parris when they were all transported over there with the Urkpad. He was there for a few months, then returned to Chicago. I think after that he moved into an apartment close by. It's hard to say how he did it though. I guess before the whole cloning thing happened I always thought of Stephan as Steve, only all fixed up with better traits. Once they became 2 totally seperate people, I wasn't sure what to think of him.

Well I guess he'd have to show up at the hospital or somewhere & say, hey I'm a cooler version clone of my former self. Would you please supply me with a social security number & various other things so I can live my life???

Did they mention him living in an apartment?
Did they mention him living in an apartment?
No, they never mentioned where he lived or anything. Part of season 8 he was in Paris staying in a hotel but I don't know where he lived when he came back to Chicago.

When the Stefan eps come around I'll try to pay closer attention to whether or not they even mention where he might be living. I never really thought much about that before.
