this is so embarrassing but i watched the season finale, i was glued to it, and now i cannot remember how exactly it ended! this is sad. Meg was on chris's bike, and then got off and hugged roxanne, and then got back on his bike, right? but did they actually drive away? or did it just fade out as they were sitting on it? this is driving me nuts! please help!

Yes, Meg and Chris actually did ride away (much to my surprise!). I read somewhere, maybe on this website??, that the alternate ending has Meg returning home 3 years later, in 1969. This is the ending that many of us are curious to see, though it sounds even less satisfying than the one they used.

ok thank you! wow meg returning 3 years later huh, that would be so abrupt to squeeze into the 10 minute alternate ending. It'd be like meg and chris driving off, and then it would black out and suddenly be 3 years later. haha i doubt nbc will do anything for this though, shows get canceled all the time without warning and nothing is done to wrap things up. it just happened with 8 simple rules as well
