I had a 2nd interview last Tuesday and a 1st interview last tuesday. Two interviews in the same day and I was DRAINED-lol So now I have to go through the aggravation of coming home from work and checking my caller id to see if I was offered the job. Job Interviewing is very irritating


It IS!! Even though I haven't currently got any interviews lined up, I've sent out so many resumes, that you never know, so even if I take the dogs out in the back or do yardwork, I'm running around with two phones on me at all times (cell and cordless). I'm even afraid to shower sometimes for fear of missing a call so I'll bring them in the bathroom with me. I feel like Martha Stewart - like you're under house arrest or something! I've also had two interviews, didn't get the job, but they want to hire me down the road so they still keep you hanging!

I feel like Miss Cleo - CALL ME NOW!!!

They say that knowing someone accounts for 47% of jobs (gotten - sorry bad English)! Actually, I could have a high paying job in a minute where my husband works - they've offered a couple of times, but the place is a nuthouse. Its EXTREMELY high stress. In the last year along, they've had 2 unexpected deaths due to heart attack in managers - one was 38 and the other 42 or something. Also the president's secretary had to leave and she was only 28 and getting chest pains. The company's doing very well, but they're very high demanding. My days of going through that are overwith. I honestly just want to get something that no longer demands the long hours, and is close to home even if it means earning half of what I used to. We don't need the money that badly, its just after earning your own money after 20 years and being financially independent, its tough to give that up.

I'm luckier than most, but EI ran out last September and its been a drag.
