The more and more i watch the DVDs the more and more I realize how much stuff Lifetime has cut out of the episodes. It is a shame how much is missing from certian epsides.
For example,
In "On Golden Girls" on the Lifetime, after the show comes back from a commercial break, you see the dialogue of Sophia complaning to Dorothy how noisy her pencil is. But on the DVD, there's about a minute and a half more dialogue before you see Dorothy writing in her book
Also, in "Nice And Easy" the scene where Dorothy is talking to the mouse.. WELL... that scene has been mutilated by Lifetime. It is about 30 seconds shorter than it is on the DVD.
In "Break In", Lifetime cuts out any reference to Cocaine in two spots.
Its horrible how they cut these shows up. BUT in all fairness to lifetime, I believe a lot of their advertising dollars come from airing their re-run'd sitcoms. Which explains why there are 3 commercial breaks, instead of 2.
Anyone else care to share some idiosyncrasies between the DVDs and the airings on Lifetime?
