Ok, me and Kristel are going to do another RP, yay! This is going to still be a JJ fic, but really different. I hope that all of you understand the plot.

Plot: We're going to go all the way back to 1977. Two girls, Janet Wood and Chrissy Snow, finally got the third roomate for their apartment. The new tenant's name is Jack Tripper. Even though the trio's number one rule is that no one would hook up in the house, only two people in the house want to break that rule. But what happens when the third is in it too? Will Jack and Janet keep their relationship strong, or will they just stay friends. Or worse yet, will they both ruin their friendship forever?

Ok, so all in all, this RP is for the people who enjoy a little JJ romance, but like them better as friends. Right now there is only two rules you ALL must follow.

Rules:
1. You must try and act just like your character in this story. Pretend that you're in their shoes. Here's an example: Whoever is playing Janet, just don't make her fall in love with Jack in one night. We all know that Janet is smarter than that. That would just be one example, but I hope that you all understand what I'm talking about.
2. Since some of you were confused on when to come in on our other RP, we're going to do something different. Everyone who signs up for this RP must follow along the story. So if someone posts, you have to read it - even if you don't read it for days. All of you must be caught up, so then when it's your turn to post, you'll know what is going on. And this is how you know when to post. After me or Kristel is done posting, we'll put whichever character we want to post next.

Example:

The cow went moo. (Crappy example, huh?)

(Larry) So, that means that when I'm done posting, the person who is playing Larry will post next. And if some of you get mad for some reason or don't see your character's name, me or Kristel will PM you and tell you.

So me and my friend go into the room where the spaghetti was and we were suppose to bring the food out to the guests. I was going to ask my friend if that was the spaghetti for the people we were ordering on, but it came out all wrong.

I said, "What is that?"

Jack Tripper opened the door of Apartment 201 - his new home that he had just moved into about a month ago. He knew that living with two girls would be a challenge, especially since he had to pretend he was gay. For him trying to be gay would be hard, but it was the only way he could live in the apartment.

"Oh, I see Mr. Lover is back..," Janet rolled her eyes as she and Chrissy sat at the table with a big cake in front of them. That day was Janet's birthday, and Jack decided to take Roper's neice out on the town instead of attending her birthday.

"You have some nerve Jack!" Chrissy yelled with her arms folded across her chest, not even thinking of looking at him.

"Hey, if you girls would just let me explain..," Jack trailed off, but couldn't finish his sentence as both girls got up from their seats and stormed off into their room, leaving Jack behind. "Girls!" Jack pounded on their door, and in a second Janet opened the door.

"Jack, what do you want? You already ruined my birthday party. What else could you possibly ruin?"

The words hurt Jack a little, but he had no time to sit around and put on a sad face. He took Janet's hand and dragged her into the living room right in front of the couch. Chrissy was right behind them, wondering what Jack had to say and what he was doing.

"Look, the only reason I went out with Karen is because.." Jack was cut off by Janet again.

"Is because too selfish for your own good." Janet snapped back at him. Again, another harsh comment but he let it slip.

"No, because it was the only way I could get you this." Jack reached into his pocket, and his hand revealed a tiny black box. He opened it up and showed the beautiful cameo to Janet.

"Oh my go-" Janet couldn't even finish her sentence before a tear slid down her cheek, and she leaned into Jack's waiting arms. Suddenly Chrissy joined in the friendly hug.

Maybe him staying here won't be so bad after all..

(Janet)

Yeah, you're Chrissy. Sorry my first post was so long, but I'd thought the first and last post should be long. :)

"Wow, Jack...I'm so surprised you did this for me....I guess a leopard can change its spots after all." She flashed him a smirk and tried fumbling with the clasp on her cameo.

"Here, let me get that," Jack offered. He carefully wrapped it around her neck and clasped it shut.

"It's looks beautiful, Janet," breathed Chrissy.

Janet swiveled around and saw Jack grinning at her. "Am I forgiven now?" he asked hopefully.


Laughing, she tossed him a matching birthday hat(like the ones that adorned her and Chrissy's heads) and said, "Come on...let's finish up this cake."

(( Jack))

Jack yawned as he stepped out from the bathroom with only a towel around with waist. He had just finished getting an early shower, yet his body wasn't still quite fully awake yet. It was the weekend, so Jack had the whole day free. He walked over to the girls' bedroom door, and quitely and slowly opened the door an inch.

"Chrissy, Janet, I'm making breakfast. Get up." He turned on the light, and now the door was opened wide enough to see his whole body.

(Chrissy)

"Jack!" Chrissy squealed. She shaded her eyes and turned away. "No one wants to see that this early in the morning."

"If ever," Janet added groggily. She covered herself up with a blanket and blushed. She made a face at him as he pretended like he was dropping the towel.

"Jack!" she screamed, hurling a pillow at him.


(( Jack))

He laughed as he dogded the pillow, picking it up and throwing it back in their room. Right after he heard the two girls screaming and shrieking, the next thing he heard was the knocking of the door. Not really thinking on who would come walking through the door, he opened it. A second later, he held his breath, realizing his was only wrapped in a towel. He sighed in relief when it was only Mr. Roper making his way inside the apartment, not noticing that Jack was half - naked.

"Alright, what is it that you needed fixed?" He looked around the apartment, but his eyes stayed on Jack when he finally saw him with only a towel on. "What are you doing?" Roper asked with wide eyes.

(Janet)

"Uh....uh, Mr. Roper!" Janet calls. "I called you about the sink in the kitchen...it has a leaky faucet." Janet sighed with relief as she realized Mr. Roper's brow wrinkle in concern and he rushed in to the kitchen.

That got him off Jack's back....

"You kids need to be more careful with appliances," Mr. Roper grumbled as Jack and Janet followed him.

"Then again," he added with a smirk, "everything else is broken around here." He eyed Jack, who simply rolled his eyes. Janet hid a smile, knowing very well Jack would've loved to give a good punch to Mr. Roper's mouth right about now...but he held off for fear of being kicked out.

"Well, at least our sink is fixed," Jack said as sat down with a plate in front of him. He was glad that neither of the girls to cook, because he loved to cook for them and for anyone else.

"..For now," Janet replied, and all of them started to giggle. "Jack, you're a really great cook, you know that?" Janet closed her eyes, taking in all the good taste of the food.

"No, but I don't mind you telling me." He smiled brightly at Janet, and she could only roll her eyes. A second later, Jack got up from the table and placed his dish in the sink, making his way out of the kitchen.

"Hey, wait a minute buster. Why did you finish you breakfast so quick?" Chrissy asked with a confused look on her face.

"That guy Larry upstairs is taking me to the Reagle Beagle today." Jack smiled and then finally went into his room.

(Janet)

"Oh, Jack, don't tell me you're going out with that guy. Trust me, we've known him longer than you have- he's a mooch! I bet you the first thing he'll ask is 'Jack, can I borrow 10 dollars?'"


Janet rolled her eyes at Jack and continued to dig in to her food. Jack's egg benedict was superb-- thank god they had the good luck to find a chef to live with and not someone as impaired as they were!

Janet giggled to herself and thought about the benefits of Jack living there-- he was a good cook....mm, definately a plus. Protection? Eh, I guess he's cheaper than a dog.... Good looking?

She looked up from her plate to see Jack smiling at her. Good looking....yes

((Jack))

"Oh come on Janet..don't you want me to make friends?" Jack continued the conversation as he walked back into the kitchen, sitting down in his chair and putting his shoes back on. Janet rolled her eyes again, still eating her breakfast.

"Yes, but not Larry." She shook her head and both her and Chrissy joined in for a little giggle. They weren't that close to Larry that much, but they both knew that somehow Jack and Larry would end up being best friends. "Janet..I am a grown man. Don't you think I'm allowed to decide who I want to make friends with?" Jack asked.

(Chrissy)

"Alright, Jack....make your own mistakes!" Chrissy retorted in a sing-song voice. Jack rolled his eyes and headed out the door.

Chrissy turned to Janet and made a face. "Gee, I wonder what he sees in Larry Dallas. I mean, all he does is borrow money from him."

"I don't know, Chrissy," Janet said. "I mean, sometimes I wonder why he sticks around with us. I mean, we use him for his cooking skills and we're constantly giving him a hard time."

Chrissy's face turned serious and she gave Janet a woeful look. "Do you think we should go easier on him?"

They looked at one another and slowly grinned. "Nah!" they laughed in unison.
