Can any of you Cheers-o-philes out there tell me the episode that has the opening skit with Norm singing "Good Night Ladies" with the barbershop quartet? I would buy the DVD with that season's episodes just to see that skit again -- if only I could remember which episode it was!
Many thanks in advance,
Danji

I believe the aforementioned "Norm meets the barbershop quartet" was the opening skit for "Dark Imaginings" (Season 4, episode 88). I was able to track it down by googling "cheers" and "barbershop quartet" and doing a little bit of sleuthing from there.
Would any kind soul who owns the Season 4 DVD be willing to confirm this for me?
Thanks in advance again,
danji

Hey there!
I don't know the exact answer to your question... but I can guarantee you it's either in Season 4 or Season 5. That might help limit your search.

You're right. I don't have the season 4 dvd, but I have the episode on tape and I just checked it out.

Thanks, Otter. I had already taken a chance and bought the Season 4 DVD set,
so I'm very glad to hear I'm not wasting my money.

Confirmed: "Norm & the barbershop quartet" is the cold opening for Dark Imaginings. ;)
BTW, we should play some kind of "cold opening game" someday! :) That is, trying to guess the title of an episode given a certain cold opening hints, say...
-Carla does a crossword puzzle in which she has to find out the name of an aphrodisiac present in every kitchen's cabinet. (Answer: Coach in Love 2).
I think it could be fun... :D
