View Full Version : San Antonio Spurs will take it all the way this year... MonarC 05-26-2005, 01:48 PM Yep! it's gonna happen. Just sit back and enjoy the show. ;) moeee 05-27-2005, 12:16 AM ...but can they stop the Pistons. isiahthomas 05-28-2005, 12:38 PM Go Detroit. I want Detroit to beat the Spurs if they meet in the finals. Joe Johnson of Phoenix is playing today against the Spurs. I think he'll be wearing a mask. I'm gonna see if he'll be able to score a lot like he was doing before he got hurt. Stormtracker TF 05-28-2005, 02:37 PM I'm rooting for Detroit. Not only are they my home team, but they're just my overall favorite. MonarC 06-10-2005, 12:09 PM WOW Manu Ginobili is amazing. I haven't seen moves like that since Jordan. WOW! GO SPURS GO! ~LadyJess~ 06-11-2005, 02:19 PM WOW Manu Ginobili is amazing. I haven't seen moves like that since Jordan. WOW! GO SPURS GO! Except for his 2 blatant charges that the refs wanted to call as blocking fouls. Wings#1ShowPeriod 06-13-2005, 01:22 AM The Spurs did great in game 2, I just hope they keep it up and do well in Detroit. 2 more wins and the Spurs win there 3rd title, but I don know one thing its not over, till its over... GO SPURS GO MonarC 06-13-2005, 12:31 PM WOW! what a game. The Spurs had the lead the entire game. The Pistons didn't look like themselves all night. I can't wait till tomorrow. Brad Russ 06-14-2005, 10:13 PM The Piston's are going to get swept. Spurs all the way!!! Stormtracker TF 06-15-2005, 12:01 AM ...And there was a fine little reminder that the Pistons are the defending Champs, and we arent going down without a fight. Brad Russ 06-15-2005, 05:48 AM This crow really doesn't taste as bad as I thought it would. It actually kind of tastes like chicken!! Anyway, I admit, I was wrong. It's amazing how much of a difference playing on your own homecourt can be!! To go from how they played in San Antonio, to how they played in Detroit, is amazing. I mean, I knew they'd be better on their own turf, but not that much better!! I still think the Spurs are going to win the series though. They're one of the, if not the best team in the league at bouncing back from a loss, so I look for them to come back strong in game 4!! MonarC 06-15-2005, 07:42 PM Game 3 was good. Even though the Spurs lost it was still nice to see the Pistons win one. I really didn't want to see them get sweept. Next game will be very interesting. Stormtracker TF 06-17-2005, 12:00 AM Wow. What a game for Detroit. SEVEN players in double digits, pointwise. They even broke the finals record for least turnovers...That was just about as perfect a game you can have against The Spurs. 102 points for a Defensive team against another defensive team. ~LadyJess~ 06-17-2005, 12:16 AM Wow. What a game for Detroit. SEVEN players in double digits, pointwise. Woo go Pistons!!! :D MonarC 06-19-2005, 04:07 PM The Spurs have to pull it off tonight. TVFactFan 06-20-2005, 09:57 AM Yep! it's gonna happen. Just sit back and enjoy the show. ;) You annoy the hell out of me, where the hell were you last year when the Spurs was knocked out by the Lakers? You make yourself look so stupid when you only post when the Spurs win. When they lose you are no where to be found isiahthomas 06-20-2005, 10:21 AM Thank you Solomon for bringing that to Monarc's attention. I said that about Monarc before & he didn't have a response. He only posts when the Spurs win. When they lose, he don't have nothin to say. MonarC 06-20-2005, 02:00 PM Ha Ha Ha I see you guys are mad about the game last night. And im not a him im a her. And I have posted when they have lost before. Just cause im not always here all the time like u guys means nothing. I have a life ya know.  http://www.nba.com/media/spurs/horry_360_050619.jpg Big Shot Rob Robert Horry finished off a stellar Game 5 performance with a game-winning 3-pointer in overtime to lead the Spurs to a 96-95 victory in Detroit, and a 3-2 lead in The Finals. Horry scored all 21 of his points after intermission, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 5.8 seconds left in overtime. The Pistons missed a shot in the lane during the closing seconds. Tim Duncan led the way with 26 points and 19 rebounds, while Manu Ginobili added 15 points and nine assists. The Spurs will close the series at home on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC. Stormtracker TF 06-20-2005, 02:02 PM It aint over 'till it's over. dlemond 06-20-2005, 02:09 PM Ha Ha Ha I see you guys are mad about the game last night. And im not a him im a her. And I have posted when they have lost before. Just cause im not always here all the time like u guys means nothing. I have a life ya know.  Actually you have not really posted when the Spurs lost. You claimed Giniobli was the best player in the NBA and then said nothing when he stunk up games 3 & 4. You made one comment after game three which was basically a condescending remark on how it's nice that Detroit won't be swept. Most would express disgust when their teams stinks it up. Especially after game 5, a freaking disaster. Where were you then? You said nothing. Not for nothing, but you are not necessarily the most educated sports fan or the most truely passionate. Your whims don't count. Let's see you stand by the Spurs when they suck. That is a true fan. MonarC 06-20-2005, 02:12 PM Maybe I don't say anything. So what. I love the Spurs. Just cause I have nothing to say doesn't mean anything. Im just upset that they lost but I knew they would come back. You guys are wicked. Chill the F*** out. dlemond 06-20-2005, 02:19 PM Maybe I don't say anything. So what. I love the Spurs. Just cause I have nothing to say doesn't mean anything. Im just upset that they lost but I knew they would come back. You guys are wicked. Chill the F*** out. See. If you had a clue you would know I am rooting for the Spurs. You are just ra-ra and sometimes hard to take seriously. Like when you make comments that Giniobli is the best player in the NBA. Really? Not one coach in the NBA would take him first in starting a team. Not one. I mean, come on. You are inviting a lot of comments and I think most of us have been kind. Talk sports and not "my team rocks". Sorry if that sounds cruel, but you seem to want to defend a lot of your silly comments. So live with it. TVFactFan 06-20-2005, 02:25 PM Well we are not really going to get a serious sports dsiscussion with a female anyway so her comments is expected. Stormtracker TF 06-20-2005, 04:45 PM Well we are not really going to get a serious sports dsiscussion with a female anyway so her comments is expected. LOL isiahthomas 06-20-2005, 04:51 PM LOL@Solomon dissin Monarc. Manu Ginobili isn't hardly the best player in the league. He's good but he isn't great. Monarc are you trying to say we don't have a life just because we post on here more than you do? You aren't a loyal Spurs fan because if you were, you would post when they lose. How are you gonna say you hope the Pistons don't get swept? If you're a Spurs fan, you wouldn't care if the Spurs swept them. Brad Russ 06-20-2005, 07:31 PM I am actually very surprised at how the Pistons have played these last few games. The Spurs have been one of my three favorite teams since forever, and I'll be honest, I didn't think the Piston's would stand a chance going up against the Spurs great defense, and offense. San Antonio was actually very lucky to get out of last nights game with a win. If not for Horry's heroics, and Billups missing four crucial shots at the end of the game, the outcome would have been differtent, and it would be the Spurs backs up against the wall now. I'm still rooting for the Spurs, and think they will win, but I have gained alot of respect for the Pistons during this series!!! I think this is one NBA Finals where both teams truly deserve to be Champions. It's too bad that can't happen!! Yeah, I agree. Stupid female-LOL ~LadyJess~ 06-21-2005, 12:30 AM Chauncey should have taken the last shot They wanted Chauncey to take the last shot but couldn't get the in bound to him-which is why Rip ended up with the ball. Stormtracker TF 06-21-2005, 11:59 PM Get ready for some Deeetroit Basketball, San Antonians! Exciting stuff. Dutabi84 06-22-2005, 12:17 AM Aha! And to 7 games it goes. I don't really care for either team, but I do dislike the Spurs most, so I'd like to see Detroit win it. Chain Gang Member 06-22-2005, 12:11 PM They actually had a song on the radio like "Get Back" by Ludacris saying "Back to Back".Either they're from the future and already know the Pistons will win it or they are so confident in the team that they know that they're gonna win Thursday moeee 06-23-2005, 02:09 PM Same here.
