Country music's leading man, GARTH BROOKS, dropped to one knee and proposed to his singing sensation girlfriend TRISHA YEARWOOD, in Bakersfield, CA during a statue unveiling ceremony Wednesday night. Brooks was in town being honored at the "Legends in Bronze" event at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace. Thousands of his fans got to witness the proposal first hand, along with the new statue built in his likeness.
