I went to Best Buy today and picked up Season 5.
I know a lot of you might feel that this is when the show started to decline, but it does have some decent episodes. Like the one with George Foreman, the earthquake,Steinberg and Son and some others ones.

I have Seasons 1-5, and really looking forward to Season 6, so my entire collection will be complete.

Are you people doing the same thing? :)

I picked up season 6 at a local Wal-Mart after its June 14th release and I was so thrilled now that my Sanford & Son collection's complete! Now I can watch an episode every day to start my day or to end it. :)

I just got season 6 last week at Best Buy. It's great knowing I have the whole collection, and the 6th season had better episodes than I remember. Now I'm hoping they'll release Sanford from 1980-81. It was pretty funny too!

Season 4 was when the Sanford and Son I loved ended. The show was running out of steam as Season 4 progressed. It became too silly and outlandish after that. Steinberg and Son, the Earthquake, the Junk Sculpture, Fred's Church, the Greatest Show in Watts all these episodes I found to be too far fetched and sometimes just dumb. The whole Sanford Arms thing I found to be a weak idea for new plots. Seeing Fred dressed as Castro, they were certainly running out of ideas. I don't look down upon those who like these episodes and if the DVDs were given to me, I wouldn't turn them down. I won't be buying them though. However, I would buy a Sanford DVD.
