lol yea, but I guess it was a good idea to do that on their part so that they'll have more viewers this fall.

I thought that was a great season finale. It gave just enough answers and presented a few more new and interesting questions for next season. We now know that Rousseau isn't as crazy as she seemed, that there are in fact "others" and they are after a special child -- "the boy", who turns out to be Walt, and not Claire's baby -- for some as yet unexplained purpose.

I also liked that we started to get a hint of some connection between Walt and Hurley. It was Hurley's comic book (featuring the polar bear) that Walt was reading on the island, and each of them vehemently protested against opening the hatch. The look they exchanged on the plane might just have been Walt's amusement at Hurley's appearance, but I think there was something more to it. They come across as the most naive inhabitants of the island, but each seems more tuned in to the mysteries of the island than any of the others, even Locke.

I'm looking forward to September, not just for season two but also for the release of the season one DVD. I wish I could watch the whole thing over again right now. :)

The scene where those guys were asking for the little boy was kind of spooky in my opinion. I wonder what they want with him? Are they some sort of cult members?

The finale was good, but it did leave still unanswered questions. I can't say I really learned anything new. Maybe Michael didn't want to take Walt on the plane trip. I do like that they have remembered that Sawyer needs glasses. He wore them on the raft.

I am firmly in the "disappointed" camp.

I expected to get some answers to some of the mysteries that we have been teased with all season; I expected them to leave some mysteries intact, or at least changed by the new information we would've surely been given if the show's writers truly know the answers and indeed where this story is going.

I wasn't satisfied with the "answers" we were given - it was more tease than substance and doesn't really present any new questions to hope for next season.

Rousseau seems like she truly is crazy to me - and we don't actually know if there are any "others" on the island or not because of it. Did someone take her baby away? Was it one of the other people that were shipwrecked there with her, or did they come from somewhere else, or did her baby just die and she went crazy with grief? Who knows?

About Hurley and the numbers - for all the flashbacks and backstory we've been given, they had better come up with a good explanation for their significance, and what it has to do with the island.

Is Walt psychic, or just a young boy that has been through a lot, and has some bad feelings about everything? I didn't think that there was any special connection between Walt and Hurley, unless Walt saw Hurley, and was able to get a glimpse of his future and it made him smile. Was Walt taken by "the others" for some mysterious reason, or simply taken as a slave by modern-day pirates? (they obviously have access to fuel for their boat, so they can't be stranded on the island)

What is in the hatch? Apparently nothing.

I AM anxiously looking forward to September, for both the second season and the first season on DVD, I just wish that the finale had given me some answers to the questions that bothered me and some hope that these questions will ever be answered satisfactorily.

I was pretty disappointed with the finale. They were really building it up to something that it wasn't. Yeah, so they opened the hatch. We all knew that was going to happen. We also knew Danielle was going to steal Claire's baby. The one thing that was pretty suspenseful was when those men took Walt. Now that's something I wasn't expecting to happen. And also Sawyer getting shot. I can't wait until the fall to see what happens.
