Hmmm... I haven't seen that commercial, and I even watched American Idol last night. Maybe that's when I took out the garbage, or maybe I don't pay attention?? I'll watch for it, now that I know.

I just started watching The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I have seen the first 16 episodes of Season 1. It's a good show. The kitten in the ending credits is so cute. :)
The cute kitty was named Mimsie, and was the official MTM productions mascot/logo. You'll see Mimsie at the end of other programs like both Bob Newhart Shows, Rhoda, Phyllis, Lou Grant, Hill Street Blues, etc. For Christmas shows, they would put a wreath around Mimsie, and they did other little gags from time to time (I won't spoil them for you!).

I have a Chase account and am happy they are using such a cool song in their ad campaign. Let us know what you think as you keep watching MTM. It is indeed a fantastic show. :D

^ On the season 1 DVD, there's audio commentary about how Mimsie came about. I can't remember which episode had it though.

I have now seen all 24 episodes for Season 1. I liked Season 1. I plan to watch the other seasons that are available on dvd. I rented the first season and I will rent the subsequent seasons. I will let you know what I think of those as well.
