What's your preffered decade for music - no poll, since it's entirely possible that there could be a range from 2000s all the way to 1540s, so, I didn't want to confine anyone to specific choices.

That being said: 1980s. But that's just me.

Anything pre-1950 but I'll have to say:

1950's
1960's
Majority of 1970's
Up to 1983 early '84

The 80's for Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
The 70's for Black Sabbath and Rush (even though Rush was phenomenal in the 80's).
It would have been interesting to been around at the period beginning at February 8, 1964 to December 9, 1969. That was the time when the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, and the final date was when the dream shut down--Altamont when bloodshed and violence occurred at the Rolling Stones' appearance at Altamont Speedway. :(

The 90's were just too depressing. The Seattle Grunge explosion was exciting to watch from my hometown, but OMG, the way it ended was beyond pathetic.

This decade, the only thing good I can say about it is that Ozzfest is pointing the way to the future of metal and of music in general.

I think the best music was made between 1966 and 1992.
